This tracker is awesome. It motivates you so much ! As a result, I raised my saving target.
What is incredible is that we have a combined target saving value of £2m... shows the power of MSE.Total Debt (inc. mortgage)31/12/2012 - £893k31/12/2022 - £1.703m0 -

Thanks, TrustyOven!
It's taken me about 7 years so far. Though I save more each year, as I get pay rises and more interest on my savings. Although rates are pathetic ATM, I still earn about £1,800 per year in interest.Wow- that's some total Tara!!
Well done everyone

Thanks JoJoC! I do a payday update, rather than the last day of the month. It's hard enough to wait until payday to do my update, I'm so impatient.SusanneCape wrote: »Well done Tara:T. Great result. I am hoping to brake the £40,000 barrier soon.

Hi can I just ask, does saving mean in bank accounts only...or can it include investment in shares etc...
thank you.0 -
I just want to let you know that I haven't disappeared and forgotten about my goals xD I've decided not to save anything in February however as I figure if I don't then I can pay off my debt 2 weeks earlier - It might not seem like much but if I do then I can avoid interest charges + repayment cover by closing my card down before I get a statment! :rotfl:
I will be back in March though!!Saved so far - £28,890.97

Thanks!
I started saving with a house deposit in mind, and that's probably what it'll be spent on... but I now see financial freedom as a worthwhile goal in itself.
I could start a business, emigrate, or maybe just dip into the savings, take a year off and travel around the world - anything I want, really. And that's a nice feeling.
