    Wow well done Tara747!

  • This tracker is awesome. It motivates you so much ! As a result, I raised my saving target.
What is incredible is that we have a combined target saving value of £2m... shows the power of MSE.

    Thanks, TrustyOven!

It's taken me about 7 years so far. Though I save more each year, as I get pay rises and more interest on my savings. Although rates are pathetic ATM, I still earn about £1,800 per year in interest.

Thanks JoJoC! I do a payday update, rather than the last day of the month. It's hard enough to wait until payday to do my update, I'm so impatient.

    Best,

Thanks SusanneCape, and a huge well done to you too! Like you say, it's amazing what we can do when we set our minds to it. I'm so glad that I didn't fritter away that £75,000.

    Debt-free and Proud!
I just want to let you know that I haven't disappeared and forgotten about my goals xD I've decided not to save anything in February however as I figure if I don't then I can pay off my debt 2 weeks earlier - It might not seem like much but if I do then I can avoid interest charges + repayment cover by closing my card down before I get a statment! :rotfl:
I will be back in March though!!

    Thanks!

I started saving with a house deposit in mind, and that's probably what it'll be spent on... but I now see financial freedom as a worthwhile goal in itself.

I could start a business, emigrate, or maybe just dip into the savings, take a year off and travel around the world - anything I want, really. And that's a nice feeling. :)

Well done you too, you're over halfway to your target!
