Hey,
Could you update my target on the first page to match my goal of 12K please.
Many thanks0 -
Hi,
First update and my final total for January is £1785.68, I'm over the moon with this as January is a awful month for me, in fact I'm truly shocked how it has added up! Just caught up reading the thread tonight and it's great to see how much everyone is saving. Looking forward to hopefully now getting more involved.
Well done everyone!0 -

Conservatively. I would have had approx £135,000 and £435,000:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I am horrified and can't believe how much money I must have squandered, even allowing for years where money was tight with a big new mortgage. Too late to be able to do anything about it now, except to hope for a big premium bond win (I've made a start, I won £25 last month:rotfl:)
So all you good people with more working years ahead of you; keep saving and don't be like me!!
Quotes and posts like this motivate me a lot to get a tiny percentage of net salary put away, anything between 5 and 10% won't be missed if I get used to doing it sooner rather than later!! Going to start this as a massive long term thing. 7 and a half years till I hit 30, 10% net with no compounding is £31,500!! That I won't even miss coming out as soon as it's paid in. Thanks for that!!:eek:Living frugally at 24

I have saved a rather huge 694.59 this month (considering my target and my income, that's a lot, over 17%). It won't be like that every month, I got a deposit back and my rent was lower than usual (I share my flat and I overpayed in December so I counted it as savings, as my budget started from zero in January). My "money in" has kinda increased since I set my goal earlier this month so I might have to up my target! I'll see how February goes first though
Well done everyone so far

I'm a 6-7 years younger than you. Whilst I admire your dedication to working out how much you could have saved, there is absolutely no way on earth I'm doing a similar exercise:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
