I have only added £100 in August but I think I was being a bit optimistic with my goal but the year is far from over yet.

I have used the update sheet so hopefully I filled it in correctly - my total should now be

    #19 £600 / £3,000

I have bought OH a camera for his birthday after years of getting him next to nothing and him spoiling me all the time and paid a small deposit for a holiday that he is paying balance for next year. :D
  • Saved..... £ -68.28 this month. :(
Got £7.83 from my cash ISA. :)

Moving house, need to buy furniture, so all my hard work saving will be obliterated.

Can I enter a negative number in the spreadsheet, slowlyfading? Or just 0 for this month?

    Good luck everyone!

You can add a negative number, or you can leave it at 0 - it's up to you? :)

I have calculated the total for August. I have saved £439.82 which is less than July. We have a flat move next week so once the boxes are unpacked I will be hitting Ebay.

    Hi there! :)

I know it's late in the year but have only just joined the site! Would I be able to join the challenge please?

Please could you put me down for £2,500 from 31/08/2014 to 31/12/2014?

We ended up saving £842.46 this month which we're happy about; it's the first decent amount we've saved since April.

It's been an expensive year and unfortunately September will be expensive again, although I'm hoping we'll end up hitting our (revised) target of saving £5k in 2014. :)

Spreadsheet updated :) I'm secretly hoping we'll hit the £1,000,000 mark this year as the two previous years we haven't!

It's a realistic hope SF; it's still early days for August figures and yet they're almost up to £50k already and I'm sure more will come flooding in over the next couple of weeks. Even if Augusts numbers don't go up any or much further, as things stand now, you'd need just under £53k each month for Sept, Oct, Nov & Dec to reach that target; I know things can change quickly but, prior to this month, the lowest monthly figure was June at just over £76k so there's every reason to be optimistic! :j

How do this years monthly totals compare to the last 2 years?

I'm looking set to have to revise my target again as I'm going to exceed the latest one, but am going to see how it goes first. It won't be by much, but every little counts! :rotfl:
