Spreadsheet is updated :) August's total is down on previous months, so I'm hoping there's some more totals still to add :) keep those numbers coming!

  • I am declaring £702.80 for August. It is less than I'd have liked but I spent too much money last month and I suspect this month might be the same! Not good, I to reform my spendthrift ways ;)

Well done everyone :) I can't believe we are now into September though  I have had a very good month for savings and my August total was £1,470. I was lucky enough to win the key draw in the local club that we play bingo in on a Saturday (£2,340 in total). I am putting most of it away into savings which is why my August total is much higher than normal :o. We need to get a new bathroom and do other bits of decorating to the house next year so the winnings will certainly be a big help.

Good luck to everyone for their September savings x

Well well well, look at me getting my update in within 4 days of the end of the month! That must be a first!

Been an ok month managed £265 savings this month. Had a few DIY jobs which soaked up a few quid - but at least I now have a new sink :)

Thanks :) Out of interest, why don't you tell your DH about your savings? x

Unfortunately my DH thinks money should be spent and not saved. He would be looking at buying luxury cars with the money whereas I would rather have the cash sitting in my savings account. I am working on him though ... :D!

  • Well August has been a horribly expensive month :( . Multiple problems with cars, unexpected holiday spends, vet bills etc etc. It's meant that I've had to withdraw £549.50 from my savings :( leaving me with just £80.62 towards my target.

I'm looking on the bright side though - nothing went on credit cards and September is a new month and a new opportunity to save :)

beach-holiday don't get to down about it - you did incredibly well to save towards your target and just think - the money for your repairs hasn't gone on a credit card so that's a huge bonus!
My Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.

    48.78% towards 2015 target.

    105.3% towards 2014 target. :j
