  • Thanks lalman :j, it's so frustrating, but in times gone by, that would've been a credit card bill, so it is indeed progress :)

Unfortunately my DH thinks money should be spent and not saved. He would be looking at buying luxury cars with the money whereas I would rather have the cash sitting in my savings account. I am working on him though ... :D!

    What is DH?
  • 136: my total is £4350 as of today. So so happy!

  • Sorry will update but have had a very stressful and still month. Firstly my 11 1/2 yr old cat suddenly became ill and within 5 days I had to put him now. Then my mother has a knee operation, following day dad collapses in the bathroom - emergency services called out and sent to hospital. Mum in another hospital has a few complications. Spent time back and forth between them.

So basically May, June and July £200 each month and August £500. Will have to wait for Sept as with vet bills, diesel and takeaway meals with probably max my credit cards.

That would be a husband! DD is daughter, DS is son etc.

under £700 to go now, so will hit target next week when the next set of SOs go out :)

Happy to say that i'm now at £18,670 so target achieved :D

Will keep going to the end of the year though, another £3,100 would take me past £40k saved for the '13 and '14 challenges combined, which seems a nice goal :)

August was a spendy month for me. We had a holiday in a cottage in Wales, the credit card ended it's 0% so had to be paid in full and we had some garden improvements done.

I managed to save £220.53 - I'm not sure it's going to help lift that total SF :)
