I have bought a tablet in the sales (Nexus 7 for £99) so have achieved what I wanted as far as that is concerned, even though it wasn't an iPad
.
I want to go and see Hamlet down in the big smoke next year so am going to save up for that now. Will have to include hotel and travelling expenses so I think it should set me back about £300. This will be included in my saving totals each month to keep me motivated.

I'm new to MSE but I'd love to join this challenge. I'm a full-time student so I don't even make £12k in a year
But I'm pretty good at being thrifty (or being tight, I guess, according to my SO!) so I think I could aim for a very ambitious 4k.
Thank you!Save 12k in 2014: n. 104, goal £4k, achieved £4000
