I have reached the £6000 mark but since I am going traveling there are things that have had to be paid for in advance - mark up what you please. But I am rather happy with myself...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0

That brings my 2014 total up to £3,943...
...and my overall total up to £78,070.

Good news and bad news: I've finally got onto the housing ladder, but it means my savings aspirations are dashed for this year! I'm still going to keep the spreadsheet updated with any bits I can save, could do with a good Lotto win now!
Keep saving folks.0 -

Thanks guys. I should have prepared for the worst, instead I listened to my solicitor tell me all the things I wanted to hear to clock up time on the sheet so he can charge me up. Almost feel robbed. Head up though iv got statements looked out away to fill in SOA. Il be back one day. Definitely a lesson learned. You really never know what tomorrow will bring, I hope you all stick to this challenge like glue and prepare for the future.:eek:Living frugally at 24
