    Hi SF, I'm here!

I'd love to join! It's given me the excuse I was looking for to waste a bit more time and work out our total saved each month :o The totals include all savings across several different 'pots' made by myself and my (reluctant) OH :rotfl:

Could you put my target down at £12,000 please?

    Monthly totals:

    Jan: £1248.38

    Feb: £940.18

    Mar: £725.74

    Apr: £2013.97

    May: £1483.01

    Not looking too shabby!

No Declaration for savings this month for me. Annual car Insurances, Tax etc has eaten it all up. Better luck next pay day.

    Hello everyone!

I am declaring £400 for May, so tons better than last month. I think that £6000 is going to be difficult to reach though, but will give it a try.

  • Good month for me due to a bit of overtime and and interest, so declaring £1800 May savings.

I'm off for a week in France, so I may be dipping into it a bit, but I'll adjust next month if I do.

We done everybody, next month is halfway there!

    Save £10,000 Jan-May 2022 THEN RETIRE!!
Final total for (half) year: -£4,000
  • Hi everyone!

Everyone is doing so well, it's amazing how much we've managed to save as a collective :D

    #132 declaring £1500.48 for May.

I also can't believe how much DH and I are managing to save. It feels so good to see our mortgage deposit savings increasing each month, if we can continue at this rate (and house prices don't do anything silly) we might have the deposit we're aiming for in the next year :D

I have put my numbers into the spreadsheet update thing SF :)

Keep up the good work everyone and happy June saving!

Mays wage and we are declaring another £1,310 into the pot!

The vast majority of the money will be swallowed up using the deposit for the house purchase, but by our calculations and budgeting for conveyancing, mortgage fees etc etc we reckon we have now accounted for all expectant costs and we have a surplus which will form the basis to build our savings up again!

So I went on holiday this month and overspent by about £300 :( but I still managed to put away about £1150 for May bringing my total..to a slightly uneven...£6,750.

Work have stopped offering overtime as of this week so thats not good news for my future savings..but this will be the first weekend I've had off in two or three months so it isn't all bad! :cool2:
