Spreadsheet updated :) April hasn't broken the £100k barrier - keep those numbers coming!

I'll be watching eagerly to see if we get enough extra updates to break the £100k - I guess a lot of people don't get time to sit and analyse their finances until the weekend maybe... clutching at straws though maybe? lol :)

Hi all. Just updated spreadsheet and signature. I have been doing it wrong till now but I think I've got it right now. I might have to use the current savings for work on property this month but still aim to end the year on target. Thanks to NSK (number 50), without whom I would still be massively in debt, I can now save. And thanks to Slowlyfading for running this thread. Good luck for May everyone. SL.

I got sidetracked last month, and forgot to update! Oops!!!

    March 2014 update:

I saved £528, taking my yearly total to £1,429 and my grand total to £75,556.

    April 2014 update:

I saved £477, taking my yearly total to £1,906 and my grand total to £76,033.

I'm saving less than I thought I would so far this year :o mainly because I'm now living on my own and paying the bills by myself. But I'll get there. :D

Good luck and keep up the good work, everyone!

Oh sorry to hear that tara :( You're still doing blimmin well though- even on your own!

Had a good think about it and Ive decided to use a solicitor but only for writing a statement. If she gives me a incredible statement then I can do the court appearance on my own. My dad will support me so I wont be completely on my own this time :o It'll still be about £500 but I can cope with that compared to £2k just for the court appearance! Im thinking of changing my career...;) ££££

    Hi guys.

Unfortunately I'll be £0 until my July wage.

Off to EuroDisney next month and Lanzarote in July so that's where my spare cash will be going.

Will get back on track in July.

I accidentally forgot about this thread for a while :(

    But I'm back now!

I've just had a thorough overhaul of my finances and changed my recording system, which was not working for me. On the plus side, I can now work out exactly how much money I have left at the end of the month to add to my savings!

As well as a regular £350 last month I saved an additional £100 bringing my monthly update to £450.

No idea what that means my total is though (i forgot to check where I already was!)

Anyway I'm off to go and check that and update my signature!

I submitted my update for April. Saved £435.70, which is not bad considering I splurged a little over the Easter holidays (my sister came to visit and I wanted to treat her!). My signature already has the "set monthly saving" from May added to it. I'm planning a surprise weekend break for my OH and I, which means all costs will be on me, so this month may not be very good for savings... We'll see.
    Well done everyone!!
