Declaring £400 for April which I'm really pleased with as I've had to pay the balance for our family holiday, 2 lots of car insurance & breakdown cover and for some new sports clubs that we've started.
I didn't have separate pots for for things like the car insurance but I will follow the example of others who have.
Off to fill in the form. Keep up the good work all.No. 5 in the 'Save 12k for 2021' thread.

Declaring £1425.07 for April, considerably better in the end than I expected to do for the month
A milestone too, the first SO for May has gone out too and taken me to £9075 for the year to date, so past the halfway mark and should hit £10k later this month0 -
Declaring -£690.15 this month
Yeah, not the best, although I always knew that April would be an expensive month as we bought a new sofa suite. This month won't be much better as we'll be booking a holiday.
Ah well, our savings for 2014 are positive and will continue to improve from June onwards.0 -
Not been around for a while because I filled my ISA up and couldn't do much with the money in my current acct. But I've put down March's interest and, finally, opened a new ISA for my transfers and a current acct with good interest for this year's savings and moved a chunk over, so I'm back on track!6k in 2012: £4200.00/£6000.00

Oh dear, not a good savings month for me. Bought a car and paid tax for a year as well! Have made a token saving of £35.
Next month will probably be a washout too as my DD and I are going to NY for 6 days (her 21st birthday present) and it is my "overpaying the mortgage" month. Am also looking at flights to Cape Town for early next year but they are currently horrendously expensive. Will keep looking until I find a bargain!
My savings balance has breached the £40k mark so I am happy for the time being. Methinks I deserve a little break !
