Sony Credit Card

I have a 99% success story *so far* on this Sonycard. (1% pending delivery of my chosen gift in next 28 days!)
I signed up in the last few days of the 11,000 pulsebeats offer.
Received the card, made a petrol purchase on it (paid it straight off via the sonycard website), and waited patiently for my first statement.
Statement arrived, saying I had 2,040 points.
When I called the pulsebeats redemption number, the lady confirmed I did actually have 11,040 points, so I've ordered myself a new car stereo (to replace my manufacturer-fitted one that was nicked in Manchester!), and I still have 2,340 pulsebeats left after that.
Think I'm going to put a few more week's petrol on it, and then get a game for my PS2 (2,500 pulsebeats).
So in summary, 1) patience is the key to getting the points you signed up for, and 2) you don't have to get an MP3 player!! :rotfl:
Thanks MSE for bringing this offer to my attention, and for bringing driving music to my ears again!! :T0 -
I have had the Sony card for over 6 weeks and am still waiting for my first statement. I phoned them to be told they did not know when the statement would be produced. I have spent 28p on the card and should now qualify me for the 2000 on activation and the balance of 9000 but have been informed the 9000 will not appear until the second statement. So hopefully by October I may then be able to get my MP3 player.0

I too, received my Sonycard statement showing 2000 points (+ the 200 for the £200 I spent). Shoud have been 8200 + 200 = 8400, I had a letter - addressed with my name etc - with my card and t & c's which actually stated the 8200 pts offer.
Despite this when I rang Pulsebeats they were unhelpful (nothing to do with us ...ring MBNA) . Rang MBNA0800 096 8679 option 4 option 1 and the person there knew nothing about it, they promised to investigate & ring back.
I told them that I would cancel the card if it was not sorted out
I'm not holding my breath, though !
I'm wishing I had not applied for this card - It's going to be hard work getting this freebie !!!

I have finally got my 11000 pulse beat points and have ordered my Sony Walkman MP3 Player which should be delivered within 28 days. This took perseverance on my part, but I got there in the end.0 -

Well since posting this message I have managed to get my Sony MP3 £150.00 player repaired for £20.. So they can stick their cheap inferior model up their pulse points.0 -
I applied for my sony credit card on the day I received Martin's email about the offer. I think I remember it saying that you got 11000 after the initial spend, and enough points after the second spend to get a 1g MP3. A few days later Martin said that offer closed really quickly and the new offer was for the 512 size. He said Sony had promised to honour that original deal for the people who applied before the offer changed. That hasn't happened. Did I dream this ? Does anyone remember it and if so where can I find that info? Many thanks0

Just to calm peoples nerves somewhat. I received my Sony MP3 player in the post this morning.
No fuss, no pain. I just asked to redeem my points approx 3 weeks ago and, Hey Presto! I am now the proud owner of a brand spanking new MP3 player that cost me the grand sum of £3.99.0 -
Finally got confirmation of my 11000 points. a lot of hassle though!0
