Hi all, just new to this forum, but what a great forum it is.
Activated my Sony Card on 04-07-2007, spent £25.00 on the same day, attempted to pay the amount but they said that I had to wait for the statement, (talk about trying to get you to spend more), paid it via my bank, then called SonyCard (08700362444) to confirm my points, they said I have to wait 28 days before they are credited to my account.
Has anyone heard this excusse or is it correct?
Thanks for your reply0 -
I spoke to Sony Card again and they confirmed that when you apply for the catd via the link on the site, this will obviously activate an agreement with MBNA, then during a 28 day period MBNA must provide Sony with your details of activation, spend and how many points you should receive based on the link that you started your application through. My application was through the 8200 pulsebeat points, so looks like I will have to wait 28 days for confirmation
Good when it's working, but a hassle when it's not, but I guess you don't always get something for free without a bit pain

thanks for that.
although, i go to the website, click on "SIGN UP NOW"
which takes me to:
https://www.sonyrewards.com/en/register/index/
i click on the one saying i do have a sony card,
but when i put in my card number, it also asks for zip code and SSN.. social security number.. so im guessing this si the US site.
is there a UK version?
(sorry im probably being a bt dumb)
Appears UK redemption is by telephone and must be the principal card holder0 -
I have received my statement showing 2000 points.
Spoke to MBNA* who said they will email their marketing department, who should contact me by phone within 7 days.
Spoke to Sony (0870 036 2444) and they said the 11000 points should show on my next statement as it takes up to 28 days for them to be added.

Hey,
I applied for a Sonycard using the 11,000 pulsebeats points link, recieved card, spent £1 and got a statement say 2,000 points (which is correct cos the extra 9,000 points were to be added in the second statement liked it said). 1 week after recieving my first statement saying 2001 pulsebeat points, (including the £1 i spent), i thought i would phone Sony and find out how many points i had and to make sure i would be getting the extra 9000 points in my second statement, cos of all the fuss with sony sending some people letters saying they only getting an extra 4000/8000 points. The lovley lady on the phone said your balance is 11,001 points would you like to redeem them now? Wow so my free Sony Sports Walkman MP3 Player will be with me within 28 days
Great Service Sony.

I also got my card and pin but there was nothing with any mention of any points. I just assumed that it would all appear after I got my first statement and had spent on it.
I joined on the 11000 points offer but it did say that I would get 2000 points then the further 11000 after spending. I am just hoping the points appear but I am alittle worried that I didn't get any letter at all mentioning free points.
When can i expect to hear about the points, it was 8200 on the link i used ?
Thanks0 -
Is it possible to view your points total online? Or is it only shown on the paper statement?0

I never got a response from then after applying.0

Hi all,
If you view your MBNA Sony Card statement Online, and have a look at the tabs after you log in and you start off, on the Snapshot, tab, which is just a quick look at your statement, but click on the statement tab and then click on the month, July 07 it will bring up your Whole statement and it will show your total number of points on there, remember you must have been sent a paper statement first b4 you can check your statement online, if you only got your paper statement, have a look on the back of the statement and then it should say your total points on there
