Hi, I have just recieved my first statement with 2,000 points on it not 11,000 as was promised. Again there is no mention of any more points to come. I have rung the freephone number given on the statement and I know feel like a hamster in a wheel trying to get the right department is impossible. Also I have found a lot of places don't accept this card anyway. I for one are frustrated and disillusioned with this company. I am waiting for my points to be given, collect my MP3 player and i'm not holding my breath on this, and then I'm closing my account.0

Its only complicated if we make it. You get 2,0000 for activating the card and then when you get the reminder points up to the 11,000 in total when you make a purchase. Myself I went into Tesco and purchased an apple costing 0.25 pence and by doing this I will qualify for the MP3 player.0 -

To follow up re my situation - first post on this thread.
I have received a letter from SonyCard today stating that the 'welcome' letter I received giving me a pulse points total of 8,200 was an error that they apologise for and I would be receiving 11,000 points once I have used my card. - I will let you know when this happens.0 -
I applied for the Sonycard on 13th June, bought petrol on it as soon as I received the card.
I received a statement 25th June (they didn't hang about!) but it was only showing 2000 pulsebeats (plus those I had earnt buying the petrol).
I phoned the MBNA customer number today (0870 096 8679) and spoke to a woman who fobbed me off a little, gave me a (wrong!) number to contact and then tried to get me to borrow more money on the card and have it transferred straight into my current account!
I phoned back this afternoon when I'd cooled down and spoke to a chap who was quite helpful, he advised me that Sony would have the correct amount of pulsebeats showing on my account. He then gave me their correct number (0870 0362 444).
I've just phoned this number and they have confirmed that they are showing 11,000 points (plus the extras for buying the petrol).
Hooray!!!
Thanks Martin0 -

I am still a little concerned as I have received the card and I have just gone through every single line of the paperwork I received and nothing states that I will get any bonus points. Did those of you who did get points receive any letter with the card or should I just assume that I will get the points when I spend on it (2000 furst statement and the rest in the 2nd statement)?0
