    Hi guys,

We've been following this closely, and have got the following statement from MBNA, the card issuer.

MBNA would like to apologise to any Customers who applied for the SonyCard offering 11,000 bonus pulsebeats, but have subsequently been sent a letter advising they would receive 8,200 pulsebeats. This letter was sent in error and we can confirm that they will be receiving 11,000 pulse beats to their accounts. MBNA will be writing to customers affected.

Hopefully this will set your minds at ease over this. If you see any other posts on the forum about this, it would be brilliantly helpful if you can direct people to this.

    Cheers

Am the same as bunking_off, have received everything else in the post but nothing about Pulse Points. Very Strange............
  • Same here - no letter mentioning Pulse points at all.
  • I applied for the sony mbna amex card too. I applied through the 11000 points link same as the rest of you but am being told that I am only getting 2000 points and not 11000. They say that there is nothing on their screen about 11000 points. I have been told to call back in a week after they have contacted their marketing dept. You would think that after the statement issued by MBNA that all customer service staff would be aware of the situation and and not fob off customers with excuses.

I Will post an update of what happens, but not happy with the shoddy service so far.

Listen you get 2000 for just activating the card and then with your first purchase you get the bonus points. Please stop making a mountain out of a molehill. I spoke to them yesterday. No dramas just gave me the facts.

Which makes it a normal call, rather than a rip off 0870 one!

Hi Lesdew be very careful in the records you keep. earlier this year they had a similar offer - 8,200 Pulsebeats = 512MB MP3 player. I applied, was accepted, made a purchase. Got 2,000 Pulsebeats, queried this and was told that a further 2,000 would be added later. I queried that it should be 6,200 additional and even sent copies of the screen print-outs, MBNA were adamant that I was only eligible for a total of 4,000 Pulsebeats and told me that the screen print was not evidence. They wouldn't budge so I will be left with 4,000 points - they've still not credited the second 2,000 and once I have them all I'll get a gift and close the account as it's too much hassle to fight them over this

I also got my card and pin but there was nothing with any mention of any points. I just assumed that it would all appear after I got my first statement and had spent on it.

I joined on the 11000 points offer but it did say that I would get 2000 points then the further 11000 after spending. I am just hoping the points appear but I am alittle worried that I didn't get any letter at all mentioning free points.
