Most forums have a time period (e.g. 10 minutes) after which, if there's been no activity, it changes your status to offline. Not sure about this one, although I think it uses the same php server software as the others I am familiar with.

Anyway he is now showing as a red dot so he must have gone away from keyboard for a break!

I really want to believe this is all totally genuine, but I'm starting to get hints of Student Phil (for those who remember his prolific sagas). Also a couple of things don't add up, e.g. on another thread he was saying his work was closed down from 24th Dec to 2nd Jan, but his new friend is a work colleague and she has been working (long shifts too) since Boxing Day. Also I struggle to understand how she can leave her daughter with her ex for a week and not be rushing back to get her.

Sorry if I'm spoiling it, if he's genuine I apologise and of course wish him well.

in the original 'christmas' post, op stated that work would be shut down until the 2nd, so how come they have had to go to work, same with the girl?

Having had sex before doesn't mean you want to jump straight into bed with the next guy you find interesting. Assuming this to be the case is somewhat offensive. I made my OH wait weeks, my sister-in-law made her now husband wait months. Nothing to do with being 'innocent' or pretending to be, but wanting to wait, for whatever reason.

Nor does the OP have to keep things platonic just because he doesn't plan to jump into bed as soon as possible. Your view on these things seems a little overly black-and-white.

Bit sad to see some people who don't believe me. But you are entitled to your opinion.

Please don't feel sad. I hate new year - always have done. Can't wait for it to be over and life get back to normal.

Whatever your situation, don't look back, move on, life has a habit of throwing challenges at you, the trick is dealing with them and not letting them get to you.
