OP I dont understand how you can solve your problems without admitting you have one....
Is there no job you can do working from home,
is there no way you can consider downsizing your home.
If you dont, and your partners work continues at this rate or dries up (or he gets ill or injured and does not get sick pay)
Just a shame to see someone wanting help who has not quite got head out of the sand0 -
I suspect OP issues are not add bag as seem. Surely if you've reached the stage of worrying you can't afford to feed yourself and you have over 200k available in equity selling your house would become a serious consideration. Many people have to downsize when times get tough. There is no shame to it. Surely peace of mind and access to food and communication means is more important?0

Probably right, if times were that tough they would do what all have done, sold any family silver we had.0

I feel as though people are not reading what the OP has said properly.
She has said that she has health issues and, because of this, they have (or are getting) the house adapted to help her with this, surely this means that they can't just sell up and downsize.
It also sounds to me as though her husband doesn't realise the extant of the issues and so, as such, she is trying to solve issues without his help, this limits her options quite considerably.
It's true that a lot of advice has been offered but not stuff that can actually be done by the OP.
Perhaps the send car could be downsized but, again, we don't know the nature of the health issues and perhaps therefore this isn't an option.
In previous years, the number of jobs her husband has done has been enough, clearly now it is not and so yes, something needs to change - either outgoings or incomings.
Are there no other practical suggestions that she might be able to do, to help the situation? (and no, I can't think of any so I guess this is not the most helpful post ever)Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

Or the husband appears to not see it as his issueWe have spoken and he has said that he is providing the money each month so I can do my share and sort it out. He never spends anything. I sort the cars, shopping, presents, holidays etc0 -

I guess that, with such limited info from the original poster, it's a bit difficult to move on further isn't it.

Got it in one !
Head in the sand, not prepared to listen to advice as no one is telling her what she wants to hear and not prepared to work it through as a team with her husband.
