One other thing that has occured to me too.If she is female then i doubt she has been spayed, going on the lack of care from the so called owners. So she could have had countless kittens, trying to survive with a mum on little food and the dangers of traffic. And all adding to the cat population of strays and ferals that so many charities are trying to sort out.
Callous to the extreme some people.0 -
I have been reading this thread since it started but have not posted yet as I was unsure of my position as I don't really know what a 17/19yo cat with health issues would look like.
However, after seeing the videos there is no way on earth (in my mind) that that poor kitty is a member of a loving home. The man and lady who "claim" to be it's owner should be well and truely ashamed of themselves and are obviously of the frame of mind that even though they don't want her they don't want anyone else to have her. I really do hope she finds a loving home.
GR, you and Ewa are doing a wonderful job and it really is a shame there aren't more people like you both in the world. If she was closer I would catnap her myself, even just to foster her until she could find someone desrving of her affection. I just hope she has a happy ending and the RSPCA actually do something before it's too late.0 -
I think that cat has been turfed out of the family home. Cats are creatures of comfort and I don't believe for a second she would CHOOSE to live outside 24/7. The 'special diet' that the owners were referring to could well be 'fetch your own'.IF the owner was caring they would go LIVID for someone feeding their cat, special diet or not. Getting ready - has that catbasket arrived from Amazon yet?0

I have to say, I'm in full agreement with GR and her friend. Even taking into account the poor cat maybe ill and that's has contributed to its appearance, as others have said, any self respecting owner would be MORTIFIED if someone was continually feeding their pet and getting involved with it after they had given an explanation. I cannot, for the life me see a caring owner not telling Ewa off for openly feeding the cat if it's diet is special and the apathy shown beggars belief.
I find it hard to believe that 'an outside' car would be so darned friendly too. I would be glad to explain to a concerned person a situation that perhaps made my pet look ill but I can't be the only one who would assume that now these owners know someone is interested in their cats welfare, they would be shamed into giving it a bit of tlc.
If you aren't interested or can no longer cope with a pet, do the decent thing and contact a rescue, a far better life would await thousands of animals if weird peoples twisted egos thought of the poor creatures before themselves.Total debt £20,000 Northern Rock loan:eek:

Thanks everyone.
Just had an emailconfirmation that cat carrier which I have ordered is going to be delivered to Ewa today.
This cat is going to be taken to a vet on Monday.
Vet will be able to confirm it's age and general state of health we hope.
And I doubt anyone willnotice the cat going missing for few hours.
Also, it is very easy to find out if the cat is being fed special food by the owners - the bins are outside :cool:0 -

What would also be really interesting is if the cat went missing for a bit longer than few hours, if the so called owner would be looking out for your friend to ask if she'd seen the cat at all.....0 -
Lol.....well i've heard of people bin-diving for food....but never bin-diving to see what a cat is eating.
I'd be surprised if you find any evidence in the bin.
Hope you don't mind but tried to PM you about something...is your box full? will try again later.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
What will be top interesting if the cat was in a bad state and vet wanted to keep it in for observation, owners would get a note throught the door where the cat is, vet would have numbers to contact in case owners do not get in touch and .... will see.
