I am in a mini-huff -- DH has told me I remind him of a mutual friend now that my hair is growing longer. Said friend has horrible hair! And tbh she's not a very nice person either so I think that's what's miffed me the most. I don't like the association.

So I will spend this evening looking at short hairstyle photos on Google until he apologises. Git :(

Absolutely not. Not one parent has expressed dissatisfaction with (my) casting. 5 girls wanted to be Mary. In front of the whole class I drew the name out of a 'hat'. All fair and above board;)

    Piggers - after xmas;)

Evening all I have one very cross and sad cat on my lap.

Back from meeting, need to heck what state DS2 has left the kitchen in and write a list of presents to look for tomorrow.
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair

    Evening all!
I have been sadly MIA due to the crushing sadness and misery following me just now, but in my attempts to ignore it today have cleaned all the carpets, hoovered them all, scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom, blitzed the living room, done 4 loads of washing, dried it, and battled the crowds to finish all but one present from my crimbo list. 7 shifts to work before I am on holiday, 13 days till OH's anniversary, and am trying hard not to think about the outlaws descending on the 18th to torture everyone for 3 whole weeks.............and breathe............will get back to the lists and posting, I promise!!!!!!

Oh bless you! You sound almost frantic :( we were just saying on the last Fred how carpy this time of year can be, and how we need to be kinder to ourselves. Time to go back to baby steps and doing things one day at a time. X

Not frantic really, just would have done anything today to avoid the sadness.....felt worse today than the day OH died, I think I am worrying about how we will all cope with the anniversary, and I am sure it won't be half as bad as I am thinking it will be!

I have spent most of the day at my sisters so not much done in the house.

I have never thought about have my oven professionally cleaned before, I spent 3 hours and 7 brillo pads on it a few months a go and decided it would never be that bad again I give it a scrub every few days, its starting to look a bit grotty in places now though.

Pigpen I would say after Christmas too start the new year as you mean to go on.

I pulled all of DH's shoes out of the bottom of his wardrobe earlier. I enlisted his (delighted- pah!) eyeballs and 4 or 5 pairs have been edited out. They now all fit at the bottom.

I've vaxed the carpets in the LR and DR and managed to get rid of the black patch in front of the piano. No clue what it was but I liberally applied WU liquid and gallons of water and it's all gone :D.

    Minnie, lawks, hope everything's ok?
jools27, please be kind and gentle to yourself. It must be terrible the thought of coming up to his anniversary :(.
Dusty, poor moggy. Is he all drained now?
Piggers, after! New year, clean oven and all that.
Valli, well done on avoiding casting angst!
Fizz, I go between short and long all the time, I always think long hair will be sophisticated and then the boring reality of fine hair which sheds loads grabs me :(. Presently waiting for it to be long enough to tie back. Not there yet!
Skinty, meant to say, I always used to lose stuff in the hood of the buggy. Nightmare.....

    Sorry anyone I've missed xx
