Hi all; I'm in as much as the lupus and severely frazzled nerves allow, this week.

We managed all our weekend tasks (Mr LW aids me with the tasks I can no longer manage alone), so we're off to a good start.:o I've had a sort-out of my magazine racks – turfed out some ancient Mensa mags, and shredded some personal correspondence from December 2011.

Also decluttered £57 to the plumbers, who have just replaced a limescale-encrusted dripping stopc0ck tap in the airing cupboard; hopefully the hall carpet tiles will dry out quickly, with a bit of help from the dehumidifier. I'm glad we don't do Xmas – after a total of £227:eek::eek::eek: to plumbers over the last couple of weeks, we wouldn't be able to afford it!!:D

I'm wondering if I should do a general “Good Health for Fly-Furbabies” ritual? With Woody and Ollie both in need of healing vibes, plus it being cold and wet so much of the time, strikes me as a good plan.:o

CompBunny sweetheart, I know it's cold comfort, but I know exactly the kind of attitude you're getting from the doctor. I actually had a rheumy tell me to “Just go away and live with it” can you believe! I don't have any real answers, (still looking for them, tbh) but wanted to offer a friendly paw, iyswim.:o

Opto No advice (what I know about babies would fit on a postage stamp and still leave room for an entire Book of Shadows):D but posi-vibes, and having looked at Piggers' post on the tail end of last week's thread, I'd say there's a wealth of info there for you.:o

Glad my emu made some of you chuckle! As I was WU I did find myself wondering how it might be mating if there was only one :D The mind boggles.
Mr LW has a theory on this sort of thing - unfortunately, I can't tell you what it is, this being a family-friendly forum.:rotfl:

OK, I have to go and make Shepherd Spy ready to cook for tonight's dins (will make enough for tomorrow as well) then see what I can do about giving the kitchen a good scrub.;)

Well I have been to the shed and dug out DS's old desk. It's now set up in our bedroom with DH's new desktop computer on it. I have set it all up from the boxes (Yay me! :D) and ordered him a wifi dongle thingy so he can connect to the wifi without buying an expensive card for it. It isn't ideal but he wanted to put it in the dining room and there's NO room in there for a computer as it has all the guitars etc in there. Long term, we'll have to reconsider where it will go or where I can sleep in the day time as he can't work in darkness and it's not fair on either of us to have me sleeping while he's working. For now, it will do as he's still got his day job.

Am delaying the cupboard tops until someone else is home because I nearly fell off the worktop the other day when I was cleaning the kitchen window and don't want to kill myself yet. I will need to replace the paper up there and it can go on the fire tonight if we light it. I always use the left over wrapping paper or wall paper up top. Do you ladies line it?

Thank you for the new list Natty.

Happy birthday to JulieJim if she's looking in.

All DD3's clean washing that she has refused to put away all week is now in TWO big black bin liners on her bed......Dustmen come by Friday, I have no qualms now of dumping it if she wants to mess about on utube on my phone watching drivel instead of sorting it out.

I did this with all the carp in DS2's bedroom on Saturday morning. He told me it was sorted out but then came to me at 8.15 this morning asking where his school trousers were. BUSTED! His tail is very much between his legs and he is going to sort it out tonight.

I have hoovered the Kitchen, dining room, hall, stairs and first landing. Bins have all been emptied and washed out.

Just done the sainsbugs wine deal on the shopping forum. 18 bottles for £43! That's our NYE shindig sorted.

I hope everyone is having a good start to the week.

    Happy Birthday JulieJim!

Managed to fly a little in between paid stuff today. Still quite busy although its tailing off and I expect next week to be much quieter. Although, my boss told me today his mum has just had an advanced diagnosis of the big C :( so I've offered to take off him what I can for the time being.

Still feeling emotional, but less hindered by it, IYSWIM. Might even do a HH tidy in the garage (again :D)

5 mins time-out from kitchen-scrubbing.;) I am not doing the tops of the cupboards, that's deffo Mr LW's territory these days, I'm afraid.:( My bone density is borderline for treatment for osteoporosis, (I'm just on the "no treatment" side of the line, iyswim) so I don't want to risk a fall.;)

Hoppy Birdday to Juliejim and CY's DD2:beer:

that jumper is fab!:T I managed 10 rows of the first side of the front of my waistcoat (46-stitch rows) yesterday, before my wrists gave out.:o
