Good morning
Hopefully I am in this week - I have been rubbish lately!Glad it's kitchens today, mine looks as though something has exploded and there's a smell emanating from the veg drawer in the fridge[typing on iPhone without looking originally suggested there was a "small emu mating" :rotfl:]
:rotfl: that made me chuckle!Daisychain1 wrote: »Your encouragement would be much appreciated as I am the worlds worst procrastinator
I am the world's BEST procrastinator!! I could win awards!
On that note - I am still struggling to finish my essay (was due last week! although deadline was extended)
Decorations are mostly up. I plan to up-end the coffee table and put it in front of the tree when I have Bubba this week & next! I will see if he touches it first - just need a back up plan. I am worried he may try to pull himself up on it & pull it over! Just need to sort out the accumulation of tut in the DR - but that needs to wait until the essay is finished.
Opto-mum good advice has already been given. BF is the most natural thing in the world, but it doesn't necessarily come naturally! It needs to be learnt & practiced by mum & baby. I struggled with DD1, but glad I perservered. She lost quite a bit of her birth weight as well, even after 11-14 days (she started of at 6 13, so not big). Piggers gave really good advice. I would just say that if you can avoid formula, that's a good start. Lots of rest, and enjoy your baby
Ok - anyone up for HHSomething? I will be essay writing. I aim for 200 words!0 -
Loads to do, essay due tomorrow not started yet and I'll be glad when it's Saturday already...looks like I'm in then ehHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

Sorry Bossy, I worded what I was trying to say very badly indeed. I was absolutely not having a go at you - the tree your elves had decorated looked fabulous! I wish we all felt we had permission to do less and enjoy it more. Does that make sense?
Everything on the kitchen list needs doing here today, but I love the idea of finishing writing cards - I've only done one!Better is good enough.0 -
Good late morning everyone!
The house is freezing today (I haven't put the heating on, instead opting for extra layers and a blanket) so the dog is huddled up next to me under a blanket all tucked in.
At the weekend OH decided to make a roast dinner. It was lovely, but I haven't braved the kitchen sinceHe always leaves it in utter chaos (eg packaging never goes in the bin, cupboard fronts/handles get covered in a layer of stickyness, food bunged back any which way / loose in freezer...) and uses every utensil in sight. Dreading tackling it. I guess that means it should be the first job...
Its a shame as he really enjoys cooking and I like eating it but he really is like a whirlwind !
Living room is still ok, just a few things to straighten - no more than 15mins of straightening and dusting I think.
I'm feeling so weak today after a very quiet weekend, got a doctors appointment on friday and absolutely dreading it as my GP believes that ME/CFS is "all in the head" but I desperately need help with some of the symptoms. Last time I asked about how to manage night sweats he said it was "because you are too lazy during the day"... Last time I asked if there was anything I could do to manage or prevent the very frequent headaches he said "Well you don't have a brain tumour!" I never suggested that! I just wanted advice!
Anyway, sorry for the negative post. Time to try and be positive and put todays spoons into making the house a more pleasant environment to rest in.
