The morning has gone well so far, although I had to use the car for the school run (out of time) and wasted too much time with the computer on go-slow. Time to get ready for my appointment at 11.30 now and then sort lunches, although it looks like DS1 is sorting his own.

    So here's my (adapted) list:
Monday ~ Grotty Kitchen and Gloomy Dining Room
HHC decluttering and vacuuming the floors
HHC finding and wiping a worktop
    Clear and wipe the table
    Clean the hob
    Clean out the fridge

    Also needed:
    [STRIKE]Go to surgery at 8am to make appointment/buy breakcakes[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Get DS2 ready and take to school[/STRIKE]
Walk to farm for eggs if time before appt
    Make lunch for DH/DS1/me
[STRIKE]Book exam (need to sit it before Christmas)[/STRIKE]
    Collect DS2 from school
HW with DS2 (make a plan for the week)
Make a study plan for me
    Cook tea
Wash dishes and put away done most of the ones from yesterday/this morning
    HHC knitting

  • Hi all

Thanks for the lists this week Natty

Thanks also for the hugs, I should know by now that certain things are not for me and I should be able to deal with it much much better than I am. Onwards and upwards - in less than 30 days it'll all be over.

I'm in too. Thanks for the lists :D

Going to extend the dining-room part to my livingroom as I'll be loosing Wednesday to work, as well as possibly Thurday/Friday. I have some must-do jobs this week so I'm going to list them here, then put them on my to-do list tomorrow ;)

    WEEK
Mon: Finish window, Mr A shop, +order, kitchen/livingroom, Write xmas cards (fly, work, family), text Ex (w/e 21st)
Tue: DD off, bedrooms & bathroom, work (sort returns)
Wed: Work all day (orders, calling cards, change)
Thur: DD on trip until 7pmish (making own way home), deliveries (territory), Notes for customers with contact details for over Xmas/next book due, update paperwork.
Fri: Deliveries (school), bank? top up shop?
    Sat: Ex here
    Sun:

    MUST DO:
    Dye hair
    Write & post Xmas cards
Finish xmas shopping lists ready for when I'm paid.
Book Mr A delivery for Xmas week (include stuff for over new year while DD is away)
Sponsor DD (find form and get it written up - Ex £5 as well)

    Ideal:
Arrange charity collection (DD has outgrown loads of clothes etc :()
Bake Xmas cakes & mince pies
Marzipan Xmas cake next day to stop it getting eaten again :o
Finish Xmas shopping if I have the money 'spare'.
Xmas decorations up (not happening before Friday at the earliest)

Right, I'm off to bed. I was going to do a job but I'm so tired I don't want to risk making a mistake so I'll do it in the morning before I go to Mr A. :o Laters
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Monday ~ Grotty Kitchen and Gloomy Dining Room
    15 minutes...
[STRIKE]Declutter and mop/vacuum the floors[/STRIKE] by hand as all young Skints asleep- DD3 has made vegan cookies (did not follow the receipe, they taste foul, too salty and now in compost) but half the cookie dough, coconut cream and oats [STRIKE]are[/STRIKE] were strewn all over the kitchen  she was only allowed to make them on the basis she loaded DW and tidied up after herself - quelle surprise she did neither after telling me she had :( and broke the clip on my american grade measuring cups, so I can't keep them together neat and tidy - I fear the key incident has flipped an OCD switch in my head :D
    [STRIKE]Find and wipe the worksurfaces[/STRIKE]
    30 minutes to spare...
Wipe the big appliances and [STRIKE]units[/STRIKE].. [STRIKE]don't forget kickboards![/STRIKE] and[STRIKE] door handles[/STRIKE] all covered with cookie dough
Wipe small appliances and replace.. [STRIKE]do one thoroughly[/STRIKE].. descale or decrumb or [STRIKE]degunge microwave although it wasn't too bad[/STRIKE]!
Clear and wipe a shelf or window sill
    Got an hour...
[STRIKE]Wipe the table and replace the cloth if necessary.[/STRIKE]
Sort through and clean out one cupboard - I am nominating the cereal and jam cupboard, it is getting a little sticky in there :( might make some jam tarts tomorrow so I have some jars to make "Happiness Jars" for DD1 and DD2
    Clean the oven and [STRIKE]hob[/STRIKE]..
    Extras
    • Get those last minute cards and presents posted!!
      [STRIKE]
    • Clean out the fridge.. make use of anything almost past its best[/STRIKE] DD3 has been experimenting crushed garlic and unknown uncovered in bowl stinking out the fridge - not a happy Skinty
    • Wash the windows
      [STRIKE]
    • Clean the top of the kitchen wall units.. if you can reach.. no accidents please!![/STRIKE]
      [STRIKE]
    • Dust and Deweb[/STRIKE] Incy Wincy is not very happy with me tonight

Going to make some homemade pot pourri shortly for DD1 and DD2 to take back to Uni with them....going to put in a Happiness Jar to transport back.....and then I will set about putting oven cleaner in overnight - going downstairs to make a start on that now

All DD3's clean washing that she has refused to put away all week is now in TWO big black bin liners on her bed......Dustmen come by Friday, I have no qualms now of dumping it if she wants to mess about on utube on my phone watching drivel instead of sorting it out.

WM is switched over on cheap leccy and another load in as I type.

Group BD appointment tomorrow which is going to be a stretch I could do without, but I have to go.

Night night  see you on Fred tomorrow

ETA Pot pourri now made and sprayed with a vanilla fudge scented oil, left some roses whole to continue just drying out in the oven without extra heat.....might see if I can get some cheap offcuts of oasis and do something with it

Another load in WM, TD and DW, so I am almost straight ready for the off!
The cold never bothered me anyway

    We're in thanks X

Haven't caught last of old Fred yet but hugs to all x

ETA: aww optimum, I feel your pain. It took ages for DS to regain his birth weight. I tried so hard with him, despite appalling local support. But he did get there in the end. DD, on the other hand was a fab feeder, but sadly had milk protein intolerance. I carried the guilt of "giving up" on her for a long time - even after she was diagnosed :( which is just bonkers. My advice would be: if you can get in some help with DS, let everything else hang for a few days, and just focus on yourself and bubba, nursing as often as you can, drinking lots and having some good food. I know its not always possible, and its soooo tiring, but just keep telling yourself "this too will pass, this too will pass". They are not tiny for long. Much hugs to you X

Morning all. what an amazing lot you flyladies are with your advice for Optimum. Brilliant.

Dusty - hope Woody is ok
Dancemum - glad to hear DF is on a normal ward
Bossy and Deko - calming vibes to you both. HB is right. It is just one day.

And I can't remember anything else but hugs etc where needed, and happy birthday to Cycling's adult child!!

I'm in again this week but going off list today to make a start on my bedroom, mainly because it is driving me mad full of pressies to wrap.

Hope everyone has a great day.
Spend less now, work less later.
