Good morning all :j
Is it possible to join. I have a weeks break before starting a new job next week and would love to get on top of all things house and christmas related to take the pressure off before I start.
Your encouragement would be much appreciated as I am the worlds worst procrastinator
So whilst I have the motivation I will attempt to do all 3 levels of the kitchen and dining room today, along with all the extras and a good scrub of the porch. Throw in a couple loads of washing, drying Nd ironing means I should sleep well tonight.
Wishing you all a marvelous Monday

I am in again, so thanks for the thread and for last week's one too.
Opto Mum - pm'd you last night and echo what everyone else has also said on here - be gentle with yourself and lo as it is early days.
Have prepared a huge personal list of To Dos so will try to complete most off that and some of the thread each day this week.
Now feeling much better - surprising how quickly a cold disappears when you are not dragging yourself into work to talk solidly on the phone for 8 and a half hours a day when you are feeling really grotty too!:rotfl:
Love and hugs to everyone who needs them xx Welcome Daisy chain1.July 16 £95/£200

I challenge you to that title!Welcome!
Morning all :hello:
I'm in again this week, ty Natty and Dusty.
Glad it's kitchens today, mine looks as though something has exploded and there's a smell emanating from the veg drawer in the fridge[typing on iPhone without looking originally suggested there was a "small emu mating" :rotfl:]
Rest of the house is still pretty much ok, it's amazing how tidy it stays when the skids are away and we spend all weekend in bedI did empty the airer and run the vac round yesterday before collecting the boys, I even got DH to help me pull out the sideboard so I could get rid of the hamster detritus down the back -- it was pretty clean actually but I feel better for knowing it's spotless now
Working TWTF this week so really need to get organised today.0 -
Would someone like to explain why I am climbing all over my kitchen work surfaces at 7.30 in the morning trying to clean the tops of the cupboards ? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:SPC9 #5070

Morning all
Welcome DaisyChain
New week and new attitude for me, enough of being down in the dumps.
Boys away to school and have promised to pick them up tonight to make their day a bit shorter.
Woody had some pain meds last night and is brighter this morning. I'll delay the vet decision until lunchtime.
Shower for me next then HHC before going to meed some friends for an early cuppa and then the RofD for me.
?what are wok ready noodle? DS3 needs them for cooking tomorrowThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I am in thank you for the lists. Well I am feeling far more normal now, I don't think I was drinking enough so have started myself a little mental chart (that means in my head i think lol) basically every cup of tea I have I have to drink a glass of water before and after. 3 cups of day a day is not enough.... So far its working.
I am going to add the list shortly. I am very lucky I have no wall units, it means the tops of my cupboards and my worktops, down side is less places to hide things!0 -
Dusty - wok ready noodles are sold in home bargains. 2 pks for a £1. Kind of semi moist in sealed packets that you just add to what you are cooking.
Bedroom tidied, dusted and hoovered. Bedding changed and I'm just finishing a quick hoover through the house. then it will be time for dog walking and the paid stuff.
Catch you all later.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
I challenge you to that title!

Welcome Daisychain. We're all a bit mad here!
First cuppa decluttered, so my head is clear and I can prioritise my list of jobs, which will [STRIKE]probably[/STRIKE] almost certainly run over into tomorrow and Wednesday):
[STRIKE]Soak porridge[/STRIKE] (DH prepares breakfast once he gets moving)
Remind DH to adjust DR cupboard door and fit shelves first thing
Move clothes upstairs and put away, emptying large box of hangers as I do so
Fix loo roll holder to bathroom wall
Do thorough clean of bathroom including windows and mirror
Move CoD
Empty crate in bathroom and re-jig contents of cupboards and drawers
Cut backing boards for CD racks and fix so that we can reach the sockets behind
Fix DR units and LR bookcases to wall
Fix 2 curtain rails
Write list of jobs for carpenter for tomorrow
Unpack!!!
DH has to deliver things to church, then go on yet another trip to the tip - mostly cardboard packaging and bits of old carpet from the loft void.
We need milk and bananas, so I will ask him to get those on his way back - unless I have to go and buy milk for breakfast (I think there's enough, but he puts far more into the porridge than I do).
After he's finished fitting the old CoDs into the loft void, DH is going to build a bridging unit (which the carpenter will put up in the LR tomorrow) and our new bedside cabinets, which are actually very nice white office drawers because we needed something narrow but taller than the small bedside cabinets available.
Good luck with your group appointment, skinty. I've lobbed a few more sticks into the sea for you.
Hope everyone has a productive day0 -
Morning all.
Welcome Daisychain
Feeling very with it now I've had a coffee and jam sandwich as we have no cereal ...yes I still haven't tried changing the fuse in the toasterDD has been told that she's not going to her friends tomorrow, her reaction was "well my attitude did stink yesterday and I haven't finished all my homework" so we're compromising. If she helps me tomorrow all day and behaves herself then next Thursday she can go after school since its the last day of term and therefore only half day. That'll give me a decent chance at making sure I've got all her pressies sorted and hopefully wrapped
I don't get paid until Friday/Monday so can't do much shopping this week although I think I can finish the family stuff tomorrow with DDs help. I then get another payment on 23rd but there is no way I am going to Mr A on the 23rd Dec

Anyhoo... I feel like a shooman bean today, I'm very happy. No thick head, nose seems not to be streaming.
Dusty, hope Woody gets along ok at the vet.
Natty, your poor puss. Hope the vet manages to sort it and see what' wrong.
Opti-mum, you've had some good advice there, hope you're feeling better today? I was lucky, our midwives were really proactive at BF and helped me to get DD to latch on properly. They did laugh at her stuffing capacity as she actually put on an ounce in less than 24 hours after birth but I'm sure she pooed or weed that all straight back out. I never knew with DS as I went home that day. I judged him by eye and he was a fat bloater who just stuffed constantly. Many's the day when I would get up at 5:30 and feed ALL day long . At least boobs are always at the right temperature eh?Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0
