That's all I would want when my time comes, to be comfortable and gently drift out of life, with a loved one by my side. You have done all that anybody could expect/hope from you. I feel so sorry for you having to stand by whilst this slowly takes its course, though. I wish I could give you a real hug, not just a virtual one.

    This.

Sending you my love and best wishes x

Really wish I could give you a great big hug Bugslet, thinking of you and remember to take some time to take care of yourself.

    xx
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Youngest has picked up a horrible cold so is off school. He was so weak this morning, he could barely sit up and his chest is horrible but not so eek that help has to be called in yet. Luckily, he already has an appointment booked for tomorrow with the asthma nurse (we are still trying to sort out his obsession with not taking his inhalers in a public place), so if he does worsen, at least I won't be fighting to get him an appointment.

Flying visit - life is ridiculous atm.

Thinking of bugslet, Viva & big dog.

Sorry I can't post more, don't really know what to say, other than you're not alone.

Hm... people are having a hard time at the moment. Hope things get better for everyone :)

OK, I've now broken through the magic 75lb weight loss from my heaviest. Only another 25lb to go... at Christmas... when the mince pies are calling out "eat me, eat me..."

    Dammnit ;)

You must have been a bit of a hefty bugg4h!!

I lost 40lbs once ... about 9 years ago. 3 stone lost, from 11st2 down to 8st3 - since then I've wavered at about the mid-point between that highest and lowest. Currently probably 9st7 ish ... but a midget.

I'm overweight .... but, luckily for me, as society's become obese I no longer look fat :)

The size of a small elephant:D

To be honest, I quite liked it too. Probably more than my current weight - but I prefer not to die which was probably the choice at the time...

Right ... well, when I met up with some lovely, lovely, NP yesterday, I was given armfuls of birthday gifts..... ARMFULS!!!!

The total haul was: a Xmas tree, a set of Xmas lights, a snowflake tree topper, a huge box of baubles and two tree danglies.

I've now got to the stage where the tree's up, the lights are wound round and turned on.... but I probably need to fiddle with the tree branches and the light placement before I move onto the "put the balls on" stage. The balls come with a thread, so I've to thread the balls on the threads - done 3 so far.... looks like I'll have something to do this evening.

Still need to find batteries for the topper .... didn't want to try to dig them out as I was due an inspection; well, he's been and gone...

I've taken some snaps, but they're really not the best looking of images.... I should investigate for the best way to photograph a Xmas tree with LED lights on, so it doesn't look like one lives in a hostel for the drunk and homeless :)

It's by the window, so not ideal for photos... might be better later, when it's semi dark.

Here it is, in all its "cr4p photography" glory: http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/r775/ephonepics/2013-12/2013-TreeLightsDecs/IMG_20131217_142714795_zpskcaoa5bb.jpg

Bet you are lovely either way. You have always seemed kind and interesting, which is far lovelier IMO.

    That's an impressive loss!
