Our thoughts are with you Viva, the not knowing must be so hard. Are you going to be anywhere local over the holiday period to say hi?

Thanks michaels, but seriously this is way better than last time, when the worst case scenario was death. Now I've spoken to them it feels like a walk in the park comparatively speaking.

Other than Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Years Day I'll be at work. I'll have to drop you a PM saying where so that you can pop by if you are around. Can't do this currently, I need to log onto work 'puter and look it up.

On a lighter(?) note, in Morrisons today in the yellow stickers was a Tirimasu reduced to 65p from 4.99 so we couldn't say no - unfortunately the kids could, they haven't had it before and decided it wasn't their thing, DW didn't help out and I have this thing about not throwing food away (another throw back from my very skinny upbringing?) so I ended up eating about three quarters...I don't feel that well now....

I have a real problem with throwing away food. I tend to chuck out a bin bag of stuff from the whole house once a fortnight. Very little food gets wasted and most of that is bread as we neither have room in the freezer nor like it defrosted.

Hope you feel a bit less full soon!

micheals how was the sheep performance?

Glad NP had a nice day out. Nice wreaths.

I made a wreath for our door yesterday. It has a couple of red apples on it amongst other stuff , but the wire is not strong enough so they have sagged and it looks a bit of a mess.

DD has made a pomander, OH chucked out my bowl full of previous years efforts as he said they were dusty. I just let them dry naturally , if I cut orange slices for decorating I dry them in the bottom oven.

After work I went to IKEA to buy some spare chairs, could not decide on what to buy, so bought 3 of one sort and four of another :( Also came away with some tumblers decorated with baubles (for children to drink from:)) and some cardboard rocking horse decorations for the dinner table. Festively naff.

PN, Benedict Cumberbatch was short-listed to play Dr Who. It's a bit obscure. I'm sorry.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Serves you right for relying on others to help you eat it :)

I never see YS food these days. I think you have to live near a shop and know when it reduces and be in the right place at the right time.... it's not worthwhile me driving every day to see if Mr S has anything. The cost of fuel would be dearer than any savings I could make.

I lost interest in Dr Who when the bloke with the long scarf turned up ... didn't like him, he was an oddball :)

That's the trouble with bread. If you have a freezer you can buy a loaf, freeze half of it and eat half of it. Thing is, you're then out of fresh bread and sometimes only fresh bread will do ... so you buy a 2nd loaf ... freeze half, eat half.... back to the same problem.

Unless you religiously make stuffing and bread/butter puddings, or fishcakes/similar you can never get close to eating all the frozen bread.

I tend to mix n match bread .... I buy a long-life loaf and am usually fed up with the sight of bread by the time I've got through that.... so next time I'll get muffins, but they have a short shelf life ... so next time I consider pitta breads or crumpets.... but then there are still moments when only fresh bread is what you want/need.

He's in the Star Trek movie too as well as Sherlock. Both are to be recommended!

Well just heard another thumbs-up for the Hobbit so I've got to see that film.:D

Morrisons are a bit naughty in this respect imho - they have a way over the odds 'standard' price for a lot of their instore bakery products and then a 'still not a bargain' yellow sticker price that I suspect is applied to the products pretty much as soon as they are shelved to make the shopper think it is a bargain. The real reductions then happen after the post work rush at about 7. Luckily Morrisons is less than half a mile from us on my way home from the station :)
    I think....

Thinking of you. Problem with having all these tests is the false positives cause untold angst.

I went to my new local library for the first time this week. Very snazzy from the outside, but the inside is a bit disappointing. It is spread over 3 floors, so each area is quite small and quite noisy. Also difficult to work out which floor things are on as a lot seems to spread over 2 floors.
