    funeral talk

Funerals are for the living, not the dead.

So I'm inclined to let loved ones arrange whatever makes them feel best about it.

My only requests are a piper, and a copious quantity of good single malts at the wake.......;)

My theory is that as long as someone knows how it works, pass the free drink and lets watch the inflight movie.

But then, my experience of science was marred by physics teachers...

me: "as long as I've got a comfortable seat, a nice in flight meal and the interior is not bright orange, no".

I once spent a good hour trying to explain the physics behind take-off to Mrs McT, talking about thrust to weight ratio, the venturi effect, the variable wing profile created by flaps and slats, and how pitch controls affect the wing's angle of attack....

Her response was almost identical to yours.:D

Ha, mine too! I had a great chemistry teacher and also human biology, but physics teacher was dreadful. I can remember two lessons from three years. One was about circuits. One was about waves. I don't know what I learned, just that was what they were about.

I always knew I'd like Mrs McT. I hear she has great taste in footwear too.

The osteo path suggested I get some crocs.

We compromised on that I might look for a new pair of trainers.

A couple of weeks ago I put all my beautiful shoes in so e new to us cupboards and wondered how much wear they'll get now. I even edited a few pairs.

    She does indeed....

Although old age is apparently setting in, as the latest batch are apparently something she dismissively calls "flats", or as she describes them, 'lesbian shoes', as the heel is only 4" tall.

On a positive note, I have been able to tease her relentlessly about being vertically challenged...:D (and old) :D:D

Isn't that pretty? The picture doesn't really do it justice, but its red cabbage (and other things) juice.

For a nanosecond I was thinking of getting something croc-like for pottering in the garden.

I think I'll be sticking to old trainers, flip flops or wellies as suits the task/ weather :rotfl:

I wear bare feet in summer , and boots/socks etc in the winter.

My feet are cold all the time so I wear the hideous not uggs. . Hepodeous, unsupportive and drag along when I limp making a terrible scuffing noice, but WARM. I trash shoes because now because of weight , limping and stuff I over promate. I don't want to ruin my pretty shoes. And my feet have really suffered.

Mainly I prefer being in bare feet. Although my feet are always so swollen now, I have to buy shoes a whole size bigger. :(
