I'm thinking about looking for a new job. Whaddya reckon? Would you quit a job you liked for a 50% pay rise? I think that's what I could get.
I'd certainly check out the market. Then, talk to my existing firm to see what they have to say about it.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Put over my car seat. Very embarrassed! Cleaning the car today would be foolish, its howling wind out there!
I shall feel right at home. I had a sheet over the back seat in my own car until it got about as dirty as the seat underneath, but showed it more because it was (supposed to be) white, so I took it out again. And that's only with kids rather than animals as my excuse.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Some lousy malefactor drove over my 'lawn' at the front. Having just mown it last week and been pleased we were entering winter with a neat lawn I feel like keying the vehicle.
Seriously, two black, muddy strips, soon to be four as he reverses out I suppose. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr0 -
Well.... weather's vile. Went to the market, achieved half what I wanted to, didn't manage to get a burger (tried 4x) .... got a car cigarette lighter charger and a socket charger for the phone..... then drove around the "new intended area", which is a smaller area than I had imagined. Then I found myself leaving the area, so went into Asda.... total nightmare.... and now I am back with an Asda curry0

Nice quiet day for me - family chill morning, then OH and Isaac went swimming, and I went for the equally active option of "afternoon nap". We're going out for dinner, the 3 of us, this evening. OH's surprise. I hope he's chosen a place I can actually eat in (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Because in summer I don't mind if people do it. I presume that people have some common sense (I know, my mistake, mea maxima culpa......which iPad wants to make cuppa) and won't do it when its BLOODY WET AND WINTER.
We'll have the digger in soon I suppose and this will feel like a small transgression, just the guy is piddling me off in a million ways, so the grass is the camel's straw.
I found. Pack of cigarettes from 2009, sealed, dried out and vile, only for the bin? Or do you want them to help your slow suicide Pastures?0 -
OH and Isaac turned out to have gone to Golders Green for a late lunch before swimming - they've just come home. OH described it as their being "Christmas refugees" but eating the sort of food - bread, humous and olives - that Jesus would actually have eaten....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I'm in the middle of a bit of a cookathon. Think I'll head back to Shakeshire next Sat so need to use up things in the fridge. Also decided the Christmas cakes kit I bought a little while ago needed using rather than lingering at the back of a cupboard for another year. So in the oven at the mo are 2 Christmas cakes (I only have sandwich tins rather than a deep cake tin), a tray of potatoes and a tray of beetroot and garlic. Once the potatoes and meat see done they will be replaced by some pork and stuffing
I had bought some goats cheese to go with the beetroot so I think I'm going to have my first 'starter' since moving in here.
