Very frustrating morning here...
After dropping the boys off at school, I made my way around to the front office to talk to them re last Thursday. They were expecting me.....
...
The school nurse has also been notified and I will be giving my contact at social services (the leader of our CAF process) a call, he wasn't best pleased with their antics before which caused all the problems, I expect he will be even unhappier with them now.
What imbeciles to push you straight to a formal complaint.
Still, you are doing brilliantly. I hope your CAF guy sorts them out for you in the manner of a big brother with the playground bullies.lemonjelly wrote: »Probably right LIR.
I want to retain the right to overpay like fury in the first 12-24 months too.
SIGH
How do I find a broker?
The important thing is to know what you definitely want - and freedom to overpay as much as you feel like is on your non-negotiable list. I'm sure such products exist, and I'm also sure you'll find one.
Just a thought - the people over on the MFW are all very helpful and encouraging, and obviously know a great deal about overpaying mortgages. Perhaps you could ask a question there asking for recommendations of mortgage products that allow unlimited overpaying.Hello everyone. Haven't been around for a while. Lydiaj came and found me in my hiding hole, so thought I had better say hello, rather than be thought of as rude. Hope all is well with everyone. I may not have the time to go backwards and read all that has happenned, but will hopefully have something interesting and relevant to say at some point in the near future.
Lovely to see you over here, Tahlullah, although you needn't have worried - I wouldnt' have thought you were at all rude if you hadn't.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Is there a reason for needing more than 1 offset account - separate finances?
One very good reason is in this really good post here.

Oh my! I posted on an on-topic thread here on this board, and have managed to get simultaneously thanked by both Hamish and Graham_Devon, and Generali as a special bonus. Perhaps I have managed to say something intelligent about economics.

Shock horror! New buyer on HUTH, intends to let the property, but get this. He's is going to use insulated plasterboard on the walls so that his tenants are comfortable!
If the program were always like that, I would love it. Bless that man, doing things the right way and incurring a little extra expense to do the right thing.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Is there anything obvious which meant that Lloyds suggested such a low amount? (feel free not to answer, meant more for you to think about). LIR is right though, I'm sure you're a good candidate for a broker.
It's a basic calculator that asked 4 questions online. No real explanation either, as well as no background checks. Plus (& most likely!) incompetent usermight have caused it. Better for me to speak with someone I think.
we used london & county, they do the standard mortgage brokers and go through what you want and help you. Sometimes, they have deals not available online. If you want a small freebie, I can refer you.
But don't forget to search for direct lenders, e.g. first direct, HSBC.Doozergirl wrote: »I know one. I haven't used him as I haven't taken out a mortgage since I've known him but he's a nice guy? If it helps.
I wrote out a pm in reply earlier on my laptop but didn't send it. I've had a dreadful time this evening. Gonna be a long night
I'm hoping that you had a better night than you anticipated doozer :grouphug:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I watched that too. Really liked his attitude. And as he said, in 20 years time he'd still have a great, letable property. Actually I thought landlords came off in a pretty good light from today's show.
Hope you're feeling ok today Doozer. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
