he wasn't best pleased with their antics before which caused all the problems, I expect he will be even unhappier with them now.

I hope he channels his unhappiness about the situation towards doing something about it...

Your boys are so lucky to have you fighting for them. It's just a shame that you have to seem to have to fight for everything.

Started trying to get my ducks in a row re: mortgage etc today. Looked at mortgages. There are 8 billion different options. Spoke to a mortgage broker but that made it even more confusing as he mentioned a few options that hadn't cropped up when looking at comparison sites. He came up with an offset deal but despite the rate being great it was a crappy product which only lets you have one offsetting bank account. Back to stage 1 there - will require at least a hundred hours of procrastination on my part. I am terrible at making decisions like this where there are too many options.

Oh good lord almighty this, so much!

I'm guesstimating that I'll have approx 50% deposit. That'll leave me needing to take out a mortgage of approx 100-120k.

I've looked at a few things,, & absolutely none of it makes any sense to me at all.

I did a lloyds bank thing to calculate how much they'll offer you, & the result was they'd lend me up to 35k?
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I feel like a one woman mission to keep singing its praises so people don't put off seeing doctors over bowel issues.

Buit the whatsi t word gone stuff......cleans you out.....klean prep....LAXITIVE, there we are, is super. If you've prepped for the prep after the first short while you are essentially pooping clean looking odourless water anyway, Which is quite novel I think. Odd, novel.

NOTHING about the experience is worth not doing it of its needed.

    I'd do it again.

Which isn't that hard, as such, except for the emptying your bowel part... ( hint: take a newspaper)

What's wrong with using toilet paper?;)

    Lj,

I think you'd be well served by seeing a broker.

Mortgage products are like off the peg clothes, but your finances are deserving of bespoke tailoring as they are not an off the peg standard. You can see some free, if their suggestion suits fine, if not, also fine. But its a good place to start I think.

Have you tried First Direct? It lets you link as many accounts as you wish. I have 3 attached to my offset.

Sorry if someone has already suggested this.
Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

I completely agree - I found it really interesting and only uncomfortable rather than painful (bearing in mind I did it[STRIKE] for fun[/STRIKE] to advance medical science. And I did do it again!

The hour's tube journey to get there for 8 am was a bit tense though!
