Begger Michaels, think that might just be a tad expensive. It was the clutch which finally killed my £461 Ebay bargain after nearly 6 years.
Don't mention the 'C' word - last year it had the second new clutch since we got it - this time with the flywheel as well and yes it did cost more than your previous car
Car is now at garage awaiting verdict, hopefully it is 'only' the slave cylinder.I think....0 -

Do you use your handbrake when waiting at a junction on a hill? Grandpa Generali holds the car on the clutch. He goes through a clutch every 20-30,000kms (12.5k - 20k miles).0 -

Almost always do use the handbrake. Never had clutch problems prior to this car so hopefully it is not driving style. When the clutch was last replaced 11 months ago I bought the parts separately as it 'saved' 150 quid over the supply and fit price the garage was quoting however of course if it is now the part that has failed prematurely then the garage will take no responsibility so I will have to pay the labour charge to have it fixed again which is the most expensive part of course....I think....0 -

Our car sometimes smells very faintly clutchy a d we had to replace our clutch. We do have to use clutch control because its also a bit handbrakey:o. ( this is partly my fault)
We really need to hurry up and decide what to replace with. DH thinks I should go and test drive new defenders to see if nearly new ones drive like old ones.0 -
Any NP know anything about getting Android phones to sync with Office 365? If so, please read my latest plea for help on the Techie Stuff forum. Thanks.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Sympathies with michael.
I don't even know what doozerboy does to cars. He killed his previous car in 2009. That was six years old.
The truck broke broke before Xmas. He took it to London as it was cheaper to fix. The man took out the old engine, kept it and replaced with a new one. I've paid for a new turbo straight from pocket (£550) plus £1610 yesterday.
He brought it home from London yesterday, took the dogs out for a walk. There is some issue with the central locking that he was aware of. If he doesn't lock the door, the sidelights stay on. Cue the battery died last night. Car would not start from jump leads so he and BIL properly jump started it. It needs a new battery too.
This is a six year old Nissan. He's owned it for four years. I don't think it's even hit 100k on the clock.
He rides the clutch on my car at traffic lights. I 'nag' about this and he pulls the handbrake up so it makes that horrid clicking noise
Should I kill him now?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Had a look at ours, everything is fixable except one of the safety net supports that was bent at 90 degreees, it is a hollow tube so even though I have bent it back, at the bend it is flat and thus has no strength - odds or being able to replace this one smallish part = 0 and it is definetly not really safe as if you went hard against that section of the netting the pole would bend again and snap off leaving a very dangerous broken end....
I think it is aluminium, could our local garage do some sort of weld repair?
Safer to take the net off completely.
People will play safer with no protection.
Plumber came today and laughed at my trampoline. I'm wondering if it could be converted to stand on 3 legs rather than 4 on the grounds that tripods don't rock.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Daffs are popping through out the front as well as the back now.
Not noticed much else yet. Not even seeing buds properly on trees.
Wondering when I should be considering starting off my planting outside? It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Oh, I noticed this morning the village was AWASH with daffodils.
We have buds on the fruit trees (this polar thing if it comes would be rough for us now) and almost all the japonicas are open bud now, not just my favourite early opening trooper. Hellebores, wall flowers peeping still......even some rose buds......
If we get another dry day this week I'll try and do a camera walk round.0
