I got the results of my latest C tests today and they did not come back clear. I have to go back again and have more tests. There's a good chance that these will come back clear, but I hate the whole cycle of headf*ck that you go through in the meantime. Am being a bit pathetic and "why me again?". Need to slap myself out of it.

Indeed! However, if you don't even go and view the place, you won't find out. They may be keen to get matters sorted out now, for all sorts of reasons (death, divorce, emigration, for example) - you just don't know unless you try.

When we moved here I was' never moving again ever'. Now I feel like maybe I'd like to, but DH would certainly take convincing, he loves this house.

Don't know until I get there what the tests will be and they have already told me that there will be a Christmas delay, though hopefully I'll find out New Years Eve! I'm not sure if that warrants a or a :mad: or a :rotfl:

It's not even "the right house" though .... lots of reasons for me to also wait. With a repo over the road they might drop the price without me asking!

Condition permitting, this will be a staring point for negotiations.

If they both sold this year, I wouldn't consider going above £175-180k, leaving you with some money in the bank as a safety net, even after minor work has been done.
