That is so miserable...when other people steal your energy. Non RP or employers. Grrrr.
Having had years of my brother leaving me feeling like this...I cut him loose. It was a choice, my well being or him. I chose me.
I choose you and fir, but know that is ineffective...you have to choose yourselves. Very hard.
Its crossed my mind, believe me.. Its a very difficult situation.
I already don't speak to sibling which is very difficult but certainly healthier. So keenly Missed the person in my family I was closest too, much closet than my parents, but just couldn't and wouldn't cope with a lot of the problems and the girls being used like pawns. It was healthier for both us us to step away.. Now sibling not in touch with non RP either, and I'm essentially only family ( apart from sibling) left for either of them.
Its very difficult and I dare say when they kick the bucket I will have some very unhealthy conflicting emotions, but until then it is what it is. My ps are both good to DH which is vital to me.
( edit, I should add, the cannot help it. They are who they are and don't have the benefit of a modern out look on things like mental health, and speshulness etc, non RP has suffered horrific, horrific things in lifetime that would reduce people to tears, and no support at all, I find it impossible to harden my heart completely. RP is very damaged too. School and my lucky breaks early in life early were truely a blessing for me getting me out of the place a lot of the time but I'm sure I'm broken in ways too! I can only hope some one less related to me takes some sympathy if I end up old. I'm sure I'd be hideously cantankerous!)0 -

I am legendary :oamongst all who know me for having been late in collecting my DD from school. On the occasions I set off from work to get her on time, I would go on to auto pilot- head down the motor way and be home or almost home before thinking "Oh !!!!!!" and having to head back to get her.0 -

I often do something like that. Drop DS at school then drive past DDs school on my way home. With her still with me.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
