Given what you've said in the past about your lack of confidence with women, I don't imagine I'm the only one who's impressed that you haven't just been PMing Nikkster, but you've voluntarily mentioned it on the thread. While NP nuptials would be the ultimate NP meet up, anything that gets you out of your "not taking risks getting to know women" rut is good.

    Go lemonjelly!

I think it's because he's not remotely interested in me (like that)!
I even suggested that if he was over this way on his car-buying hunt that he could let me know... and he replied with why he would play it safe and buy a car from a dealer instead.

    Can't say I didn't try :D

And just to put it in context, it was a couple of pm's each way - nothing like the michaels/ PN saga :rotfl:
And I didn't get a reply to my last pm...

(oh and lemonjelly did openly say on the thread that he would pm me with the music links....)

    Just saying

Cannot see on a quick google any one obviously working as a designer.

And it has come back on. Grr. One of those intermmitent faults that are hard to track.

Mine has an intermittent fault. The manual tells me that it's the temperature sensor. Which in turn google suggests should be relatively cheap.

But as I said, boiler roulette is about as exciting as it gets chez Nikkster. And this way I don't have to tackle finding a plumber.

I'm not saying any thing. I don't think you two are the best pair. :o But I do think you are both nice and could be nice friends and prowling buddies.

I think last time we discussed this we felt that Oxford would be accessible to Nikkster, me, lemonjelly and a selection of London and inner Herts people.

Sounds like the perfect recipe for a low-key first meeting

Joking aside, Oxford works well - the bus to Oxford passes right in front of my house. And anyhow nowadays I have my own wheels (unlike at the time of the first NP meet up).

Also, no need to wait for me to be visiting my parents. Firstly, aside from major festivals (e.g. Christmas and less dependably Easter), it's usually quite a last minute decision to pop back. Secondly, I think Oxford is probably the same distance from here or there (maybe a bit longer in time from here).

Oooh - there's an idea. What other chapters would there be? Definitely at least one about lir and fir's boiler woes, two for PN - one about websites and income generation and one about house hunting, one about michaels's planning sagas, one about Sue's struggles to get her boys' school to fulfil their obligations, a statistical one about mushroom opinions and Jewish partners, and something about lir and the poop covered chicken. Any further suggestions?

After much consideration, I put forward that there would need to be a chapter on fly swatting...

Oxford meet might be something to plan then?

    :)

For starters, lemonjelly deserves someone much nicer than me. He is a sweet pea. I've always been a bit difficult, and I'm certain I'm now carrying a lot of luggage/ bad habits from my last relationship.

Plus after years in mushroom exile, I'm not giving up curry!
