What's the matter with Toy Story? (I chose Toy Story
) I have the Godfather trilogy (its not made it over here yet) - I think it is still in it's cellophane (:o). Maybe I'll have to have 'Godfather' weekend once it's made the move.
There's nothing wrong with it but it's a children's film. It's like saying Harry Potter is your favourite novel.
IMHO the Godfather is let down by part III. First 2 are great though.
I'm with the Toy Story-ites, & chose it too.
IMO Toy Story is not just a childrens film. I think people say that because it is animated. There are a great deal of adult themes in the trilogy, and it is excellently done. Growing up, seperation, having to make decisions, morality, friendship, journeys.
It tells us a lot about the human condition.
In the trilogy, there isn't a single weak film. It is in my opinion, the best film trilogy ever made. & I'm not alone - Mark Kermode agrees! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Sometimes you can't beat someone doing something just for you, or doing something just for someone else.
Well....as that's what happens with much of what I eat......:rotfl:
I ate raspberries and oatmeal, both verboten, this morning. , I had forgotten how satisfied food could make one feel. Raspberries from the freezer, but so GOOOD.0 -
Grrrr.....
So a really lovely guy turned up from the electricity company anyway, to get a head start, then lo
Ones at the job realised he had n't got any of the right stuff and said he may or may not be back later. Because he needs to use a ladder he must have someone else present. (I think although its slightly OTT its not that bad an idea really, it makes sure people are a little safer) But he doesn't have enough cable.
He dislikes the way the job has been planned as he says he can do a neater job. That's encouraging. I think.0 -
OK - serious grown up face on
Have been checking online for the sold price of my house to appear on Zoopla/ Rightmove (as an indication that everything has gone through with the Land Registry - yes, I know it would probably have been a better idea to check/ prompt the solicitor). Anyhow, it now appears with my purchase price and date on rightmove - but shows a couple of pics which it says are from Dec 2012 and a different estate agent. Obviously it doesn't change anything, but I would be curious to find out whether the house had been on the market before, and how much for.
Anyone have any ideas if this is possible/ if so how?
Nikki
This site will tell you sold prices.

You may have to join, but I use it to look at previous selling prices along with the land registry to work out current property values.0 -

Thanks, it's just what I needed. "You're signed up for A Beginner's Guide to Irrational Behavior. The course will start on Mar 11th 2014 and we will notify you just before then to remind you when class will begin."I have discovered multi quote - this could get dangerous!
I've been lazy. I knew about it but didn't use it.I use these types of aids to sleep. The first one on this link is my current favourite. It is a Buddhist meditation so if that's an issue don't listen to it

Thanks. Just what I needed. I'm getting stressed at the moment, with MIL in the house. I'm getting thoroughly fed up speaking loudly, ONE.... WORD.... AT.... A.... TIME....
Last night was a disaster diet-wise. DW and I had an evening out whilst the kids looked after MIL. I have a 50% off Taste Card, so we went to the local Indian Veggie restaurant with a buffet. I ate far too much, of course, whilst DW said "This wouldn't have been my first choice, or even my second..."
She was right of course, as it's about the unhealthiest we have eaten for a very long time. Even fishing the vegetables out of the curry dishes, they are all pretty much cooked to a mush. Plus, there's loads of sugar and oil added. Mind you, I love the spices! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

What would have been her first or seco d choice? You ate well, so enjoyed it? Sometimes we compromise for ones we love. I think sometimes you go to something down on your list for you to please your husband, especially when you know he's struggling to be patient and kind with your mama.0 -

Ah, that's more difficult. She doesn't say what she wants. Somehow, I'm supposed to guess. I think the main thing she wanted was to get out of the house! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Am I the only Back to the Future fan?
Toy Story was good, but BTTF was the best ever :beer:0 -
Cripes, I think this Toy Story thing is as much of a battering as I've seen on the Nice People thread #10.
Oh well. I'm off to bed. I'll catch up on the bus tomorrow.0
