It also all means another lost hour plus of sleep. When DKs were smaller I was the one who did night duty and now I find although I am tired enough to sleep and don't spend time lying awake I do wake multiple times in the night which makes me very brain dead at work (little recall of previous days and poor concentration if I am trying to think through difficult issues) - perhaps it is just a getting old thing :(
    I think....

Well, Toy Story was my favourite trilogy from those options.

Not sure I'm going to redeem myself by telling you that my favourite film is most usually one of Finding Nemo or Up though :o

Edit: Probably should also not re-mention how much I would like to go to the Harry Potter thing at Leavesden studios...

I'm with you. I chose Toy Story as well. (i should be a writer apparantly). I think some Disney films are just as appealing to adults. I couldn't have cared less if my kids wanted to see number 3, we were going!

I wept buckets towards the end of number three. You can guess which, I bet.

I hate films with gratuitous violence.

    Lavender is good for me.

I often have trouble changing state - if I'm awake, I find sleeping hard, and once asleep, am quite happy to stay that way. I think the worst thing to do is get cross about it, and think about how tired and fed up you're going to be tomorrow. That's a recipe for not-sleeping even more.

You seem to be channeling Confucius this evening. It's brilliant.

What career should you have had...

    You got: Vice President

You are a doer, you know how to get things done. You’re half analytical, half big thinker, which is what makes you so valuable to any team. You love a good challenge, and are excited by possibility. Go get ‘em, tiger because at this point you’re pretty much unstoppable. Other occupations: engineer.

I'm a "Professor". Which is the American job title for what I do anyway!

All the talk of not sleeping well. I've managed about an hour so far. I'm wide awake, but have no doubt I'll be begging for my bed at school run time.

I wanted it for Peyton Manning. Thought it would be a great story if he got dropped by the Colts and then won with the Broncos. I think I wanted it more than him though.

    Not a fan.

From the moment the first snap sailed over his head , as he was doing his usual "Look at me, I'm so clever I call all the plays and change all the plays and then change them again" act..............it was all over.

Whenever the NFL's #1 Offens(c)e comes up against the NFL's #1 Defens(c)e there is always only 1 winner.

Mister Derrick Brookes in the HOF, and the Bucs 2 first rounders from 1995 now both in there on first ballots..............now that was the story of the weekend :T

Will you think me terrible when I sometimes think that with autistic children?

I sometimes get a blind spot when they are being frighteningly autistic and not doing things that a 'normal' person wouldn't think twice about. For example, middle son is a talented drummer but he just won't 'put himself out there' to get in a band. He wants to be in a band, desperately wants to be in a band but won't ask or advertise that he is available because he would have to be with people he doesn't know.

And then he moans about not being in a blooming band....arrrggghhhh!

Hugs Sue. No, you're not terrible.

Hope you and he somehow find a way forward as far as a band is concerned.
Not really, I think it's just common sense. Unrealistic expectations of ourselves as parents are a recipe for misery.

Not just common sense - wisdom. Thanks NDG.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Yes, heard that! Really pleased for him. DH has the number 55 shirt and is still inclined to walk round the house singing "who's your favourite player?"

There was lots of whooping here when that news was announced. Somewhat unlike they actually played a game last year - particularly when they lost in the last five minutes with spectacular regularity.

The Bucs need more stable rocks in their team. They need to have more Brooks and Alstott types.

Re Peyton, he's a long way from my favourite QB. That role is fulfilled by Tom Brady, but then I'm shallow and do it on looks.

NP ladies, this is what Tom Brady looks like....

    Aka, Mr Gisele Bundchen

Kurt Warner was rather nice when he was playing too.
