You must have one wide load of an 4rse if your chair just fits in there :P
I am not enamoured of a lot of the layout, nor that big room at the back with the big bifold doors. All I see there is: big space to heat, big space to kick about in, big bifold security and privacy issue.... and dinner's cooking at the other end of the house so I'd have to go and sit in the kitchen while my pie was heating up as I daren't leave anything on the stove/in the oven "in case"
That isn't the house we looked at, I didn't post a link to that as there is a small chance we might put an offer in.
Have just looked at the 'chair room' on the floor plan, says 7 x 6 but I don't believe it...0 -

I think the linked house and the house with the small bedroom were different houses?
According to planning consultant the lottery odds are about 50-60%, the cost of a ticket is 2.5k and the prize fund is about 100k - oh and the draw is not for about 5 months.
I think arranging a meeting with the planning consultant, architect and planning officer to see if there is a way forward with another application may be the way to go. May simultaneously rightmove the property as if I got a good enough offer i might decide to forgo the lottery altogether.I think....0 -

The mutt is quite friendly, so on the whole people react very well to her. I find that she's more of a trip hazard to other people, as well as me, when she's on the lead than off it. She doesn't really object to being led, so I don't need to bribe her.
It's an ongoing saga to train her not to pull, and she's getting much better. She's only corgi-sized, so that's not really an issue for me, anyway, but I was concerned she'd pull MIL over.
Her first keeper was sent to prison, which is why the mutt ended up as a rescue dog, but she was very well trained - I'd like to meet him and congratulate him. I've trained her to wait at the kerb-side and she was already trained not to go in the road.
Mostly, I walk her in parkland, where she doesn't need to be led, which suits us both.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Yeah but we'll see it anyway at the housewarming party.
Westie goes on lead on roads.
If he sees a cat, squirrel or fox he kind of loses the ability to spot oncoming traffic.
But in parks and woods etc he's free.0 -
BTW, the mutt has a lump almost the size of a tennis ball on her chest. It doesn't bother her, and I'm told that it is harmless. Any idea what that might be? It's taken about 5 years to get to this size.
BTW: my wife's cousin is a vet and sees the mutt quite often, so I think he'd say if there is a serious problem. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Google suggests a lipoma, benign fatty tumor?
Don't know really, but tennis ball size sounds big to me.
Cassie, a staffie further down the road here, has several of them on her belly, but the biggest are about cherry sized.0 -
PasturesNew wrote: »Well it's tax return day and I've started. What I do is gather up all the statements in a pile, but I also like to have a copy on my PC in case one goes missing over the year.
Luckily I'm ahead of the game on this one, so just printed to PDF all my statements from April 2013 to today...... because when you go back in the CoOp account to the statements page, it doesn't go back as far as April 1.5 years ago, so, if I hadn't done this last January I'd be missing a few.... luckily I did it last year when I did my tax return, for this reason.
You'd think they'd keep the statements online back to the full previous tax year, to help those people who suddenly find they are one short...
Remembered though, as I was going through my statements - I changed my bank account during this tax year and they transferred all my DDs to the new account; so I now need to gather statements from two banks. Doh.
I meant to keep all my internet expenses (hosting etc) in my Coop bank and keep that for my online income/expenditure... and my new account for "real life", but it's not worked out like that.
Looks like I won't owe any tax as I probably paid enough through PAYE already.... but I earnt more in 2012-2013 than I recalled. Turnover plus employment, looks like £13k
I've only been able to go through Georgian Amex statements for 12 months online, then you get asked continuously whether you really want to print it off as surely you want to save the environment! My Georgian car is a Mercedes E55 AMG, so that may be a good start for saving the environment.........
I'm in the difficult position of being resident in 2 countries most years (the limit is only 90 days in Georgia for Georgian nationals, plus usually around 150-160 days in the UK, making me non-dom 'ordinary' resident)
This is including less than 1% of my income actually being from Georgian sources, but still needing to be declared and then mentioned as tax-free. Last year my total Georgian profit not to go through my UK Ltd company was around 1400 Lari, or about £400.
In other words, I will hate tax for the next month, until VAT return and annual accounts have been sorted (our accounting year is 31/7)

It's more the issue that the are meant to be on leads on designated roads which leads to people being quite vociferous at times.( which is a really silly reaction. ) .... A dog, whatever size and background, usually dislikes seeing its people given a 'talking to' and not much fun for the people either.0
