Our amazement when snowdrops came up in it ( there were very few garden things here ) was significant. It was like the house was agreeing. There is also a whit wisteria already here, but sadly will probably have to go, but we'll replace, to apologise to the house.0

Lovely snowdrops!
And with that blue thing obscuring a bit of the lens (bottom left of the 2nd pic), it looks like they're floating on a bed of fog.
That's my silly protective case thing.
I have to have it. Even its it macputer (the second) has a bit of a prang on the screen.
But the macputer slips in side it and sometimes I forget to push the lens away from the case.0 -
A white garden - I love that. Nothing better than when a house and nature agree with your ideas. Sounds really special.
Well, I do think its a bit pretentious, the white garden , tbh. But its simple. One of my parents lives with me and had always wanted an all white garden and I felt it was something we could make happen without any hardship to us and and a later date I can add colour if I choose. Its beautiful on a summer's evening when there is very little or no light in that area and yet the white simply glows and scents of the heavily scented white plants hang in the space and bats dance about. It doesn't feel at all pretentious then.0 -
Date went very well
She looked absolutely gorgeous, had clearly made an effort, which was nice!
Talked a lot, laughed a lot, flirting, hand-holding over the table. Progressing nicely I think.
There is a massive 'but' though: she's obviously not totally over her ex, which is a bit of a snag to say the least. So just taking things as they come and trying to push it too much.
So we'll see!
We await the next instalment0 -
My mum had hundreds of white bluebells in the front garden.0

Oh wow, do the whit ones smell as sweet?
I want some blubells in the future in the orchard when we have nice shade for them....be years and years.
Tbh, I've been considering seeing what some labour might cost to do things like clear the cake area. I really want to make head way this year.0 -

. DH also cleared gutters on it.
Quite pleased with that really.
I bet you are! That's really, really impressive. You did say 45 feet, not 4 to 5 feet or 4.5 feet?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

45 feet.
Barn is 60 feet long, we'd made a small start on this side on previous day but not really got into the flow.
I haven't painted the steels ( my job) yet of the big chunk today though, and will not this week because of the weather.
Its not the best paint job mind you:o. Its quite patchy and rushed.
We're using a sprayer for the barns. Its just dramatically more economical with paint. Result IS less good, but its affordable. Undercoats ( with brush) on unpainted walls take ages and are hugely expensive on paint, and even top coats with a roller or brush on these walls seem to suck up paint.
Edit: because of the unconventional colour choice its drawing quit e a lot of comment. Most of it is quite positive, but I'm sure some people hate it. Noone has been tactless enough to say it, mind you, which is quite something for a rural community!0 -

It doesn't sound pretentious to me at all. I have thought of doing the same, just need to decide where I want to live first.0 -

Unconventional colour choice?????
If I had a barn, I'd paint it white. Or black, maybe. I like navy Blue, but is that a barn sort of colour?
Edit: Is this the inside or the outside? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
