Generally, yes.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

He says the technique is to add water slowly and also use milk and butter. The milk should have some fat content, so not skimmed. He won't use any other instant mash.
Actually, thinking about it, I think I've just found another reason that the rellies won't come to us at Christmas...PasturesNew wrote: »I used to love Smash - it can be a special technique to get it right, but I found if I added water slowly then it gave good results.... in fact, I've been thinking of posting a thread askign people which is the best instant mash these days as it'd be good to have a packet in the house maybe
As far as I am concerned there is only one way to make Smash into an edible mashed potato dish:
1. Take a packet of Smash and boil a pan of water
2. Peel some spuds and chop them into similar sized pieces
3. Chuck away the peelings and the packet of Smash
4. Once the potatoes are boiled, drain and add some milk, butter salt, pepper and nutmeg
5. Pass the potatoes through a potato ricer and then beat with a wooden spoon
6. Once eaten, youtube a video of an old Smash advert of the robots laughing at people making mashed spuds. Realise that fings ain't wot they used to be (Oi! Do me a Favour!).0 -

Sold out - it was on BBC news website yesterday. DW had already been down to Aldi, they had sold all 12 they got within minutes of opening on Sunday. Tesco Hudl tablets that cost 119 are going for 150 on eBay - looks like eveyone is getting a tablet for Christmas this year.PasturesNew wrote: »Strange story of the day: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ic-valley.html

Wasn't Gen looking for a bit of land in NSW....
Not that bit.
It's funny that the pictures they've used are of Wentworth Falls and the Three Sisters, each of which are major tourist attractions and within a few minutes drive of each other.
The National Park itself is about 1/8th of the size of Wales with a population west of The Three Sisters of a few thousand people at a guess.
It wouldn't entirely surprise me if there were other similar communities in Aus. Aboriginal Australian groups used to meet to swap young adults (probably kids by our standards) to avoid inbreeding. AIUI, groups of young couples from different groups would end up forming a new 'tribe' and so the gene pool was prevented from becoming a puddle.0 -
My FiL is diabetic and I've been looking up Xmas recipes on the Diabetic Association website.
The first thing that popped up was a question, 'Do you accept cookies?'. Is this a joke? It seems in very poor taste.0 -

So the "eminent" surgeon that did that "fantastic new procedure" that may have given Dad a few more years, has been removed from post. Removed after investigations showed that the deaths of some of his patients were avoidable.
Was his death avoidable? Who knows? I do know that we were cautious in agreeing to this being done and had we known this guys record we would have decided not to risk him doing it.
Of course we will never know if it would have worked better if someone else had done it and how long that would have given him.
To complicate things the helpline asks if I am next of kin; I'm not, but if the next of kin hasn't watched the news today, I don't want to worry her. But I do want some answers.

I know we are in a crazy over litiginous culture but I wonder if it might be worth talking to a solicitor before contacting the helpline? (Apologies if this is a insensitive comment)I think....0 -

Or, the option I go for, he was an ar4e who wanted to cause trouble. That was my general view of him, anyway.
There comes a point where, if you keep getting divorced, it might occur to you that the problem isn't entirely the other partners' defects. This was a man who married 7 times, but in true Elizabeth Taylor fashion, only 6 women - wife #7 and wife # 3 were the same woman....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Just say "yes" you are.
This whole next of kin and PoA, with some data protection, really makes finding out anything impossible.
Worst that can happen if you say "yes" is they find out you're not ..... but if they don't find out and take your word for it, you're further into the system.0
