  • The father of one of my best mates didn't make a will.

He was a QC, with 3 children, a wife, and 5 ex-wives. Didn't half cause trouble.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Sometimes, in situations like that, I think it is deliberate. It avoids picking and choosing and deciding who the winners and losers will be.

Would they be good for gardeners? People put wood chips down as mulch and to suppress weeds. I have no idea whether these are the right sort of chips, though?

Wood chips for the BBQ go for an absolute fortune! £££s a kilo! :)

Nope, wrong sort of thing. Animal bedding better prospect.

Once affordable, this could revolutionise getting the elderly and infirm fed in their own houses: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2521606/Print-food.html

At the moment, if you need a carer to come and feed you the cost of that is about £10 for them to pop in and microwave a meal for one. This would be a much cheaper/better solution for many. Then there's the cost of the meal for one to add to that.

It could be linked to a webcam with somebody asking them what they want to eat, then making sure they take it out [a] safely and they eat it.

Could do it today. Facetime them and watch them take the food out of the fridge and microwave it.

A lot of these carer visits also provide company.

Upsetting story certainly. The perpetrators are victims and possibly have as little sense of 'wrongness' as the children. I'm not excusing the behaviour, its Obviously grotesque. But I think a demonising the adults there could be misguided.
