:( After going to bed at 12:30 last night having spent the evening doing an unofficial upgrade to DWs tablet tonight was definitely going to be an early night - so here I am at 11:30 and tablet is still refusing to behave, it upgrades, then all the apps upgrade then you reboot a couple of times...and then it decides to freeze on the boot screen - seems to be no rhyme nor reason :(

You're very brave with your upgrades. In macs it was worth the move from 8 to 8.1 and later to 10.4 Tiger. And every upgrade after that just made fewer programmes work. Macs used to have amazingly useful programmes (Search and Rescue, Appleworks, Typeit4Me, NIsusWriter, Word 5.1). Each upgrade switches off more and more. And just try to uninstalll an upgraded OS!

Dreading the day when I'll have to bite the bullet and move past 10.4.

My Huawei Ascend G300 came with an old version of Android (v3 I beleive) and everybody online who upgraded to Android 4 seems to be moaning about it and trying to switch back,. Did you have one of these and did you stick with the system it came with?

Uninstall the free ones, that won't lose important data... try again. See if that works, then add each app again.
  • Led...so cool.......they could even be on the floor.

I used to use fairy lights instead of bedside lamp. White tack and wall. :). Yours are certainly to heavy for that, and when white tack fails over your head when your asleep its a little unnerving until you are used to it.

Your fairy lights stuck to the wall with white tack? I am a little excited at this prospect!! :T

Over the last couple of weeks, I have moved onto stage two of public transport prep for the boys. We've conquered trains, they feel safe and at ease getting on them now, so it was time for buses.

Glad to say, youngest had the best trip yet, we had to give up on buses a few years ago as he would just scream on them but today, he actually fell asleep! Now it will move onto them realising when they need to get off without me doing it for them...and finally, being able to get on and off trains and buses without me.

Long way to go for that but it's progress.

That does sound like progress and careful planning on your behalf :T

Sometimes, when househunting, I get led astray ... and start researching odd things. I started with a search of all houses in my budget within a 10 mile radius of X town, in the last 3 days .... and one was in a small village, so I loaded up google maps and did a streetview of the High Street .... and saw that there were lots of thatched cottages.

Next I wondered if there was an "oldest house in ...." so Googled it and came across a strange news story. http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/news/9487101.Wool_tanker_crash__man_charged/

So a bit more googling and I discovered he was jailed for 7 years, he was 51. Then I found he'd died in prison just a few months later, of natural causes (how odd).

So then I did streetview and identified the house .... and then did house prices to see that it had been sold a year later and described as "ideal project" http://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/detailMatching.html?prop=26035797&sale=50007086&country=england

... and that's why I never get round to viewing houses, I get carried away by other interesting stuff :)

To me, that is not strange....I do the same thing!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Thanks for that, I didn't know about that page. There is another 'The Big Project' in Edinburgh that is a community project, I know that one as used to volunteer there. :)

Lots going on in Edinburgh, we are pretty lucky :D
  • I think I will learn over time that I should not venture into other threads and just hang out here....lots of meanies out there!!:eek:

I know about the one you mean. This "Big Project" is a web portal made by somebody in Sutton (and therefore not too far from me) years ago. It's a portal site like http://www.kadaza.co.uk/ and allmyfaves but more homegrown!

I use it as my homepage as it links to most things I need.

We all post on other threads as well. You just have to put up with idiots who'll swear blind that black is white and day is night and you're a special kind of stupid for doubting them!:rotfl:
