Can't believe that someone invented this! Why is it that I never think of these great, off the wall ideas that someone will pay me lots of money for inventing?
Probably more useful if you want to use warm milk. Guaranteed soggy cereal.Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

Oh thank you for the welcome so late at night,;) I was begininmg to worry what I had let myself in for on the MSE forums having just came back. A lot of snippy people!! lol! But you all seem lovely.
Tell you a little about me, eeek! Mid thirties Bridget Jones type who is useless with money, better at booking holidays and a bit crazy about cats and cocktails. Slight obsession with Brazil and all things Brazilian.
I work in Housing (social ) and I am useless with money (did I already say that!! lol ). Been on a here a lot over the years but very rarely post, but given its going to be a tight month that might change :rotfl:
Anyway that is probably not at all like what you meant and I now sound like I am running a personal ad!!0 -
Oh, the NPT gets postings at all hours - a lot later than this sometimes - even from our British members, not to mention Generali, who's currently living in Australia.
Plenty of other cat lovers on here (although as you'll have guessed from my avatar, I'm more of a dog person myself), although I'm not aware that we have anybody else with connections to Brazil.
As for me, I'm mid forties, single parent, teacher, quite good with money but not so good with keeping my house in order. One of my kids is a pathological hoarder, which doesn't help. I've been on here for ages, and post quite a lot on the NPT and occasionally elsewhere. My brother's work is to do with social housing - he lives in Scotland.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
We're all insane in our own ways, you'll fit right in, Rachel!
Cutting and pasting from another post I wrote here earlier today, but it's still true:
It's part of the mad nice people thing. You are expected to have strong views on mushrooms, either for or against, and a lot of us (not including me) are scientists, a lot of us live in Herts (again, not including me, I live in Outer Herts, otherwise known as the rest of the world) and a lot of us are either Jewish or have Jewish significant others (including me, I'm not Jewish, but my dearly beloved is)....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I am a little mad but not the same cetegories lol! No strong views on mushrooms but do like them, not a scientist more a social worker it feels like, I live in Edinburgh so very far from Herts and I am not Jewish but I do have a hebrew name... that is about my only small link to any of those! Not sure I could even point Herts out on a map!:o

There are other posters from Scotland here (I'm originally from about 50 miles from you). Many friends near you.
Others have family living there (as lydia has said).
Most NPs are in a triangle from London to the West country and the Midlands, with a few from points north.
All are welcome.
I'm a dog owner living in the deep south. I have to fit these posts in between earning a crust and thanklessly walking the dog in foul weather. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I remember reading about an Elizabethan jury who heard 11 capital cases in a single day. 2 were acquitted, the other 9 sentenced to hang.
In the Guildhall there's a plaque about a jury in London who heard a trail for treason and found the accused not guilty at the end of the trial.
They were banged up for 'perverse verdict' (I think it was) and weren't released until they agreed to change their minds!0 -
Wasn't de-french-iated what the US did with Freedom Fries?
All you Androidians, DD2 was playing her recorder earlier and I showed her how autotune in the guitar tuning app showed the notes she was playing. It also then worked when she sang to it. I then thought there must be an app that you could sing or play to and it would transcribe what you sang/played (basically just recording what the auto-tune was showing me. However google has only found one possible, 'scorecleaner' which is only on IOS
Anyone know of a suitable app or able to google better than me to find one? Thanks
Hi Michael's, I work with a musician who has an armoury of apps, so will ask him later if he is around. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Welcome to the NPT rachael. I know of nobody with Brazilian contacts too. I did however borrow a bossa nova CD from the library where I work last week. I also went to Rio as a kid. But that's all I've got, sorry. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
