Well, that was a disaster. Armed with the single sheet of instructions left for "the tenant" and never having tried to set a heating system like this before ..... I turned on the spotlight in the kitchen (one remaining bulb of three as the other two have blown) .... and it faded out/died. So, armed with a torch, I tried to press buttons like the sheet indicated .... and got nowhere. Now not sure if I've changed something or not - and couldn't see any way to change the programmed times that were set when I originally moved in.

*sigh* ... it's horrid being clueless sometimes.

And now I need a ladder to try to work out how to get those bulbs out, so I can inspect them and go out to buy some replacements.... no ladder. That won't happen this side of the New Year now no doubt.

Glad there's some good news. Hoping for the best for you for the results in the New Year. <hugs>

It's not just the public transport that's not good. The road network is slow too, so it takes ages to get there by car even if you're starting from not that far away.

I used to nip over to wells daily from both the south of there and north of there. Sometimes es on the same day . Its not SO bad. But not great. I used back roads fom south which were hit and miss.

Glastonbury festival was a PITA for the fortnight before and the week of and after of course.

The Henley Regatta and then the Festival make living in Henley a real PITA while they are on, too, it's practically impossible to get in or out of the town.

Pn can you leave it on 'on' with the thermostat on very low, so nothing will freeze?

The think is Glastonbury doesn't just cease up Glastonbury, It ceases up the whole pocket of that area. From castle Cary/ wincanton and the a303 over up across the a37 past Shelton mallet and over through piston (where the festival is and) wells, and up that route is the artery to Bristol and bath for many.

But you have a smartphone with camera and know how to post pictures on here.

We can advise you on how to change a lightbulb.

  • I'm sure there's a lightbulb joke in there, somewhere.

How many management consultants does it take to change a lightbulb?

None, 50 of them organise a seminar on "living with darkness"
