I was trying to work out how you took a picture with your back to a mirror Lj, but now think that's a tv?;).
The curtains are the thermal ones. When it is warmer, we have white curtains ( with small green pattern on them).PasturesNew wrote: »OK, I'll be clear.... I bet nobody else has 101 Santas, a Santa poster, lots of Santas round the tree base ... and a FULL SIZED SANTA standing in the corner of the room ...
But it's Christmas!:)
That santa is about 5 foot. He lives in a massive box. In fact, we have a specific "christmas cupboard" full of stuff.
Underneath the picture, to the right of where I'm stood when I took it is pearl, the red eared terrapin, in her tank.
The wall behind me has a chalkboard with "...days til christmas", a reaindeer head, & another santa. There's also a crystal tree on a shelf.
We've wrapped the pictures up like presents, & tied a ribbon round them, as it is easier than storing them for 2 weeks.
The right hand wall has a huge advent calendar (with pockets big enough for whole choccy bars), a wreath, a star, another santa face, & the wall mounted goldfish bowl.
All around the ceiling corners, we have short lengths of tinsel.
I'm also stood in front of a doorway, which has lights around it, and (you guessed right) a santa on the door.
We've toned it down this year...:oIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I like Father Christmas but my real desire is a life size nativity scene with beautiful clothes. I also quite like deer.0 -

Or you can try opening the battery compartment and turning the batteries a few times. I think I learnt that from Eddie Izzard. Usually works a treat.PasturesNew wrote: »I guess I assumed that as Chewy's a bloke he'd have done that first as it's so little effort.
That's in the Handbook of Boy's Shortcuts. You're not supposed to know about it!There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

LJ that is a Christmas Shrine :j
Our road has suddenly gone ultra-competitive in the outdoor lights category although still so far remaining wit in the bounds of taste (mostly lots of blue/white strings and icicles) so we have been beefing up our outdoor display and now have the '7 candle' thang, a santa sligh and a large led star in the windows and a string of white leds on the tree although this would be better if we could find a set with a longer lead as we currently also have a 2m line of sparkly ground lights, either that or we should have planted the tree closer to the house.
Tomorrow evening DD 2 is being an angel (or possibly star)....I think....0 -
