Even if so, I would suggest that this 'hides' important information. You expect information about a product to be with that product, not printed on the receipt.0 -

I'd disagree - the information is not "hidden". In the same way that if you go into Tesco and buy an electrical item, part of the receipt printout is the guarantee.
Or if it is a voucher which is activated at the time of purchase, then the expiry date will not be printed on it.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

I got told that it was, but can't verify it as I'd binned the receipt. The voucher didn't come with any separate T&C's, just the voucher with no expiry date on it. The info should be clear, not buried under a black box or on a slip of paper which is nothing to do with the voucher. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Tesco, and M&S, till spit vouchers have the valid from and to dates clearly printed on the front of them.0

The "slip of paper" is your proof of purchase of the voucher and the receipt of payment for the voucher. To describe it as "nothing to do with the voucher" is a little disingenuous.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

So the receipt would have been a receipt for the goods purchased. Why would I have reasonable cause to believe information about a voucher was on that receipt, as voucher not purchased as such?
Information about the voucher I would reasonably expect to be on the voucher. It wasn't. Or should I say wasn't shown. As in a post above it was hidden, unclear, unintelligible, ambiguous.0 -

By not making the expiry date clear Argos have committed an offence. I'd suggest writing to them, enclosing the unusable gift card and pointing this out.
If it's printed on the receipt, I'd say it was clear.
If I have a voucher, I make sure I read both sides, so that I'm in a fair position to allow the other party to fulfil their contract.

OP, I did the same. I assumed they had a much longer life than they did. It did not enter my head they would expire so soon.0

It has been plainly printed on the receipt when I have taken advantage of this offer.
All I have to say is everyone knows what Thought did..."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0
