Oooh this one sounds like a goer Watty! My son gave me a lavender linen spray at Christmas that I've nearly finished, I could decant eucalyptus solution into that and wear it as a perfume if necessary!

I got them all sitting on the bench near pond, so we've investigated and found quite a lot of mozzie larvae in pond and water butts so Mr. Hbbb is taking butt action too, as it were, to try to prevent a long itchy summer!

Will put eucalyptus oil on my shopping list ... think I may also have some of those little incense cones somewhere, I got some free trial ones and I'm sure one of the scents is that. Thanks for the tip Watty x

From an aromatherapy point of view (something I used to do for a living before the recession - when I lost lots of clients :() - a mix of 1.5f oz of distilled/ filtered/ cooled boiled water and 1.5 fl oz vodka (or just 3oz of the water) and 10 drops eucalyptus, 10 drops lavender, 5 drops lemongrass (if possible) and 10-15 drops of citronella is quite an effective mix - shake well before each spray :) Failing that, lavender and euc isn't a bad (and much cheaper and easier) combination :)

Morning, Hbbb. Yes, I forone am enjoying the fact that it is Friday. Hope Mr Hbbb reaches the weekend with energy to enjoy it.

It's good news that the bites are diminishing in itchiness. I scratch myself til I bleed with bites, so am mega impressed with you :T.

:o can't say I didn't scratch at all ... only when it wasn't in public!

30,000 is an awful lot of words - let's hope they actually pay you for them...!

    Me too A*M, me too!

Do try to get outside today, m'dear, even if it's just with a cuppa.

Thanks A*M have been at it all day but finally sent it I about 3 pm then had celebratory sparkling water up the garden for 10 mins, the had to start on house as Mr Hbbb's daughters all here this weekend for Father's Day.

Thanks so much for this GreenT ... have copied and pasted it over, am sure it will taste better than Tilly and Elantan's tonic! :rotfl:

Just kidding, I won't try to drink it really, although with vodka in it ... X

Lovely day and even better as it's Friday!

    ;) MFW actions:

    * NSD
    * Had message to say payment is "stuck" again so still unable to make another MOP, getting very frustrated about this as really want to make another one before interest is calculated on 17th. Have told them that I'm not willing to do any more work for them until they sort out payment issue. Bit risky from the freelance end of things but they are a major corporation and this really shouldn't be happening (not considering the fraction of our wages in relation to what their clients pay).
    * Arrival info for first lot of students has arrived today, so will meet them in 10 days time and at least in a fortnight will have their money coming in!

    SMASH day 13 / 100 = £ 250 / £ 3,000 ... still!

    :(Grey Clouds:

Need GP appt as issue with meds but they now have a new system and nothing available with my GP until 23rd June and even then I'll have to phone on the day to try to get a phone appointment as they don't see patients any more unless a GP has spoken on phone first. Lucky a vital body part hasn't fallen off then really!

    :)Silver lining:

Change of plans re Mr Hbbb's daughters has meant we've had evening just us and pooches - dinner I. Garden followed by long walk in park ... bumped into my youngest on his way home for work (his flat is opposite park) so nice chat and lazy evening!

    :pDaily declutter:
Currently working my way through cupboards in front bedroom (will be students' room). Two boxes of games sorted through and reduced to one box, box recycled and bag of games given away on Freecycle = 180 / 365.

    :DSimple pleasures:
    * Sleep (a good nights sleep is never taken for granted around here and is wonderful to achieve)!
    * Bumping into your off spring unexpectedly.
    * Mr Hbbb is planning an early run tomorrow so I shall be having a lie in :T

No A, the boy loves running but has a very strong prey-drive and would be off like a shot in the wrong direction if he saw a squirrel etc. Meanwhile, going out for the girl means ball games, so she'd spend the whole time harassing him to throw the ball (she's really good at putting it in your hand without you breaking stride though) but because she's 8 she wouldn't quite keep the pace!

Hope you have a good weekend!

Hi Tilly ... There was a small shower at about 6.30 here but it's now shaping up to be a lovely day! May have to postpone starting on hall decorating and organise a bit of lettuce sowing instead!
    Hope yours stays fine too!

In truth though he had a long week and didn't wake early as was his plan and so didn't go running and so I got up to see to lairy pair, who were being extremely lairy to be let out because I'd obviously relaxed into my sleep thinking I wasn't going to have to get up early ... so I didn't hear them until about 6.
Strange how if you don't think you need to get up, you'll sleep through anything ... it was the indignant farmyard sounds from the bottom of the garden which did wake me (windows wide open through night) and not the extremely loud farmyard sounds from beside me!
    Today's list:
    :T no work
:) try to catch up with mum
:D plant lettuce seeds and organise newly emptied half raised bed
    :) make student prep list

Hope everyone has a lovely day x
