Hbbb! Helloooo... it's been an age since I managed to catch up properly, but catching up I am! Your diary seems to have almost doubled in sized since I last posted, I have a fair chunk to get through still but just thought I'd leave a little note to say prepare for some extra chatterage coming this way soon ;)

Before I forget though, I have to admit to guffawing at the medicinal concoction tale. ;) Oh, and the Swedish candle sounded glorious :smileyhea

Also - I shall be borrowing the term Nationwidthways ;)

Am sending some happy vibes to Mr. Hbbb, hope things get better soon.
    3) Wednesday pm will have to be a worky one, but aim for a self-indulgent, yarn-fest evening, with no work after 6 pm.
:T :T :T Sounds like my cup of tea! I shall try and join you in such endeavours this week :D

Thanks P*M, lovely to see you! Yes, it's been the usual chaos here, so will definitely be making the effort to get the needles out and take time out tomorrow night (although not exactly taxing myself at the mo, but it has been a loooong day!

Looking forward to hearing all your news soon x

    Happy Tuesday y'all!

    ;)MFW actions:

Finally, some money through from client with the payment system troubles ... so allowed myself the joy of a 10 min break and a little bank shuffle earlier, to put £150 over as a MOP at last!
SMASH day 10 / 100 = total £ 250 / £ 3000 (I put clapping smiley there but think it's a little premature so have removed it ... no clappy smiley unless full SMASH is achieved).

    :(Grey Clouds:

A day of his 'n' hers office politics ...jeez! What is the matter with some people, why can't they just ... play nicely?

Oh and my bites are just b*tching me all the time! Really wanted to have a good scratch during meeting today but would have been too unseemly!

    :) Silver Lining:

Sun shine all the way today.

    :p Daily declutter:

Hmmm, not in much today as needed to work elsewhere so minimal decluttering ... will target this tomorrow. No nibbles on my freecycle stuff, which is disappointing ... can't even give some of my clutter away, it seems! :rotfl: ongoing total =171 / 365

    :DSimple pleasures:

    * Chatting to an RSPB man about the birds in our garden ... seems we are doing all the right things to help the endangered garden birds around here! Including rescue hens when they arrive (18 days to go)!
    * Mr Hbbb is in his shorts :T

Hope everyone else is doing fine x

  • Ouch to the bites. I hope they go down soon.
All the best to you both.
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Habi, have you tried antihistamines for your bites as well as the spray?? Could help stop the itching.

Thanks SSS and P*P ... I use antihistamine cream too but just didn't seem to be touching it, the roll on is mostly effective but need to wear a skirt to allow it to do its business and couldn't really wear one yesterday as being on beach with fishing fleet was part of meeting, so had to wear jeans ... hence hot legs and itchy bites!

Today's another day though and I am wearing full floaty skirt, even though legs look disgusting! And why do bites come in pairs, what's that all about? Out of the 10 bites, 8 of these are pairs of two alongside each other ... look like scabby old snake bites or like I've been attacked by a vampire with poor anatomy skills or such! :(

Still, lucky for my dear virtual friends that I'm not a whinger, eh? :rotfl:

I know its a bit late now you've been bitten to bits but Mr Watty - who also suffers from bites badly - swears by a few drops of eucalaptus (?SP) oil in water sprayed around the bed (we use a plantmister) and sprayed on his arms and legs whilst outside. I read the tip once when we were staying somewhere with a lot of mosquitos and their like and it worked so he has stuck with using it.
Might be worth a try - its cheap after all :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Oops, I meant your roll on & not spray :o

I was thinking something like Piriton or antihistamine tablets that are normally used for hayfever, as they work for itching symptoms as well. Hopefully the floaty skirt will do the trick today.

Read this as 'now you've been bitten to bits BY Mr Watty'! Took me three attempts to get it right! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I was given massive, old-style, knock-you-out-completely antihistimine tablets by the Dr last year when I was *attacked* by more than 5 horse flies in a matter of minutes. Boy are those bites ugly! The tablets really helped but I was barely able to keep my eyes open which wasn't too convenient!
