Thanks SSS, he's joking about it today but we both know that means it's on his mind! He'll stand up for himself alright and for what he thinks is right for his learners, so we can only wait and see! Hopefully it'll be a quiet week.
I hope yours is good too (and that you get a positive phone call Tuesday)! XStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Thanks S*F, I'd actually been awake reading since 2 am but got up at 4.30 to let the girls out of the coop, and the day was already so busy with birdsong and the spectacular sky, it was lovely to have such an unexpected moment!

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend!MFW action:
NSD, new house insurance investigated, definitely seems cheaper to change rather than renew, plus possible cash back ... just need to dig out policy for comparison then may be able to sort this during the week.
SMASH day 8 / 100 total £ 100 / £ 3,000 ... can't do anything more on this until I actually get some money in! Thank goodness there are 92 days left to go!Grey Clouds:
Pleasant evening in garden last night, but we were still out there at dusk and I'm just a magnet for mozzies and nibbly critters ... so as a result of tranquil wind down have ended up with 10 huge itchy bites on legs, arms and hands ... have lovely roll-on sting soothing thing though, which is helping.Silver lining:
Youngest son and his girlfriend came for lazy impromptu BBQ tea time, only just left as we played board games and just hung out afterwards, really lovely.
Had a citronella candle burning the whole time though, after personally providing walking buffet for mozzies last night!Daily declutter:
2 grocery items we won't use successfully decluttered for son to take home with him. Total 171 / 365.Simple pleasures:
* Family time.
* Reaching the 20,000 word mark in the report I'm writing for uni project.
* A contemplative sun rise this morning.Simple behaviour:
So the roll on bite reliever came up to bed with me last night and was on my dressing table. After shower this morning I of course reached for the roll on deodorant without concentrating on the matter in hand and ended up with a very silly, very sticky underarm moment which resulted in having to wash again.Mr. Hbbb is keeping the bite stuff on his bedside for me tonight. Not that he expects me to do anything daft a second time, he says!
Hope the week ahead comes good for everyone.Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

What was the reason for you being awake at 2am? Are you fretting? Was Mr Hbbb snoring? Hope you got more rest last night. xNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Affirmative to all of the above really ... I had a nightmare which woke me and I really couldn't settle after that because of the sounds from the farmyard next to me and then I started thinking, as you do!
Last night much better thank you ... It appears to be motivation for the day ahead I'm struggling with, usually at my desk by now!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

I am so sorry to hear about Mr H's work problems-it is so hard to keep going in those circumstances. I hope you get your mojo back soon..................I am useless at working at home I need the pressure of others to get on with stuff.0

Grrr to nightmares - especially so soon in the night.
Motivation, hmm. I've been granted an extra free period today by the teaching fairy. What am I doing with it? Reports? Marking? preparation?

Thanks Toots, Mr. Hbbb is keeping his chin up and I'm trying to keep the momentum up. I'm usually pretty OK in the self-motivation department ~ knowing I won't get any money if I don't do any work tends to help things along. I'm thinking that maybe my lack of mojo stems from the fact that those who owe me seem to have rubbish systems in place for actually paying up!
Hope the presentation went well!apple_muncher wrote: »Grrr to nightmares - especially so soon in the night.

OK, before I account for my day, it seems I have a little catching up to do from last week ... spoiler alert ... I was a bit pants at this, it seems!
1) 5 NSD & put £1 into sealed pot for each NSD achieved.
Achieved, eventually, despite the fact I diverted £2 for a passion flower that M'sons turned out not to have ... it all ended up in sealed pot.
2) Declutter 20 items
Possibly but I forgot to count out my carrier bag of items individually!
3) Wednesday afternoon off work and work evening instead (catch up with mum before she goes on holiday, hopefully)!
Didn't happen, I was poorly sick Weds, mum poorly sick Thursday, so all work and no catch up a very dull week made!
4) No work after 8 pm any evening (except Weds as above)
Kind of for most of the week but some issues arising with / for a client meant two evenings of working ~ not ideal
5) Sew up jumper knitted for friend; knit at least one more herring ... carried forwards from last week as this didn't get done ... I'm still a couple of herrings short of a shoal!
Not achieved at all, have not touched my needles of any sort all week, shocking lack of achievement there!
And so to this week ...
1) Aiming for 5 NSD & put £1 into sealed pot for each NSD achieved (anticipate Tues and Weds for spends, but will try to keep to minimum).
2) Declutter 5 items via Freecycle or repurposing / upcycling
3) Wednesday pm will have to be a worky one, but aim for a self-indulgent, yarn-fest evening, with no work after 6 pm.
4) No work after 8 pm any evening (except Weds as above)
5) Sew up jumper knitted for friend; knit at least one more herring ... carried forwards since forever, it seems! Must get my herrings done by weekend as I need to move on to other things!

Hope everyone's week got off to a good start!MFW actions:
* NSD achieved.
SMASH day 9 / 100 = stagnant total £ 100 / £ 3,000but ...
Silver Lining:
Uni have confirmed I will receive all monies owed on June 30th, so am planning a major SMASH MOP then! Just a tad frustrated to not be getting anything before monthly interest is calculated on the 17th.Grey Clouds:
* Rik Mayall gone so young!
* Mr. Hbbb's day today ... 'nuff said.Daily Declutter:
3 items listed onto Freecycle but no nibbles yet.Simple Pleasures:
* Gradually starting to get that little extra mojo which comes with getting near the end of a project! Another 2,000 words of report written and a couple of appendices knocked out.
* Love, love, love my sting roll on, it is my new best friend (except I have to try to stop other best friend, big black dog, from licking it off poor afflicted legs)!
* Having things to look forward to:
Fargo and early night tonight
Thread catch up tomorrow
Major hump of uni work will be over by end of tomorrow, downhill slope after that!
* We had the first of our strawberry harvest for our pud ... one strawb each! No cream or ice cream, just as nature intended. And we got to them before Mr and Mrs Blackbird did!
