A little bird tells me that one eBid seller had 96, yes 96 sales yesterday - and it wasn't me :(
    Wasn't me either :(

    I only had 29 sales :j

    Well I have had 4 sales in 1 month...although 1 didn't pay...LOL

They totalled over £100 so it has covered my lifelong membership and some....all future sales are a bonus!

I think that little bird is tweeting out of its jaxxi. I've been on ebid many times over the years, and I've never seen anyone sell ANYTHING.

That little bird was telling the truth :T

+ I have regular sales on eBid - enough to pay for family holidays every year.

I've been with ebid for over 8yrs, & with ebay for over 11 yrs. eBay is only interested in profits, it allows sellers to abuse buyers, & buyers to abuse sellers.
There answer to any problem is to give you a ridiculous help site(that hardly ever has your specific problem) then it just freezes sellers accounts & puts small businesses under enormous strain. (How would eBay survive if their bank did that to them)
How could this ever be a good for a business or customers?

To top it all off eBay are so afraid of the likes of eBid getting a strong foot in the door, (they bought up gumtree).

eBid may not be perfect, but they are always easy to communicate with, much cheaper to use, & don't put buyers/sellers on hold as a knee-jerk reaction to any simple little problem...

eBay are very difficult to communicate with, very expensive to use, & regularly freeze up accounts & funds(that businesses desperately need

If everyone signs up to eBid (is free for buyers) cheap for sellers, it could make eBay more competitive& friendlier to deal with...

    Regards Terry... happy eBidding/eBaying

Are you sure ebay own the domain name ebid.com? I know ebid never bothered to buy it, but I thought it went to an advertising agency of some sort . Ebid in the UK have actually been around longer than ebay in the UK anyway.

Glad it works for you though, I suppose ultimately it has to work for someone.

In the interest of fairness I just wanted to add to this thread to say I have now sold 3 things this year on ebid, all a completely different line of stock to my usual sales . However, other sellers already in the market really don't like sellers who muscle in and undercut them.....

Congratulations, Soolin! I couldn't possibly let such an important announcement pass me by without stopping in to comment, could I? :D

I'm all for undercutting the competition if it brings in sales, stuff what they think of comptition, without it there's be no point to bargain hunting.

I made two x 99p sales this past week, if those count! But I still haven't listed anything else since moving house. :o

eBay doesn't owns the eBid.com domain name, as far as I'm aware.
