Hmm... I see what you mean. Did you report it as being wrong item/category to eBid so they can resolve the problem?I reserve the right not to spend.

Hi,
Im new to eBid and was a bit confused by the seller / Seller+ subscription options. I want to give my items good exposure and chance to sell but dont want to waste money if you can get the same exposure with the free option.
I noticed the google marketplace in the seller+ but not in the free subscription... Does that mean my items would come up on a google search with seller+ and not with standard seller?
Regards

Funky348 - you would be much better off visiting the Message Boards at eBid:

I agree with Mayday, the seller boards are quite easy to navigate and people seem quite friendly. In fact I would go further, just recently there has been a marked difference in the advice offered with some sellers now suggesting that newer ebid seller retain an ebay presence to keep sales going as ebid doesn't replace that market, but is used alongside ebay.
However, you will be urged to take a paid membership, but think carefully before you do so. There are virtually no sales ever on ebid, don't take my word for it, check out completed listings in the categories you intend to use. So even though a paid for membership may be better, you may well not sell anything anyway.
I have never ever recovered the cost of my lifetime membership despite listing for around 9 years or so and having different shop fronts.
However, there is no harm in taking a look at what they offer, but do check out the catogories you intend to sell in.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. They'll be in double figures in no time
I've now given up entirely- all I ever did on ebid was go on there to remove stock when I got low on ebay. I could not justify the time spent faffing around and I regret bitterly paying for a lifetime membership.
However, in fairness the last time I read the boards regularly there was a move to being more realistic. Instead of 'ebid is brilliant' it was more of a cautious 'don't close ebay accounts and rely on ebid as you won't get the sales, use them both together and try and drive buyers to ebid'. Perhaps if they ar ebeing more pragmatic now and seeing the site as an add on to ebay rather than a competitor they might get more success.
I am surprised though that ebid has never achieved anything, with the amount of disgruntled sellers on ebay I would have thought ebid would have been thriving- but it seems that whilst sellers might be unhappy, buyers are not and seem determined to stay with ebay.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
