Jelly is gorgeous and a really little sweetheart :A

I love cheese on toast with brown sauce scrapped on but it unfortunately doesn't like me, gurgling tummy and a mad toilet dash then hours of snotty gunky gunge in my throat :o

I hope the man thing is pulling his weight, 3 pairs of Pj's isn't much in the scheme of things........ I can hardly walk with Mr H been just the same!!

Well done on all your savings liltikins! How are you getting on with your macbook btw?

I have to reiterate what everyone else has said and say that jellytot looks amazing, I especially love her hair and might have to recreate it. On me.
  • Pahhh matching outfit?!?! Yeah right. Although I would love a pair of the tights.

Mrs H - wow that sounds like exactly what my post cheese evening is... I still do it though :o:o:o as yet I haven't got the appetite so have stuck to Thorntons Continental instead. I really should go get something proper to eat. So far my day has consisted of biscuits, thorntons and three slices of brown bread with butter for lunch

Peaty - the macbook is being lusted after - 5th January I should have all the money from my FD 6% saver out and then I will feel ok enough to hit the order button.. I think. It is so eyewateringly expensive... but I cannot hack this half a laptop, wires everywhere, balancing a bulky monitor precariously etc for much longer.

RANT ALERT - The man thing - I am down in the dumps. And it is due to him. And I don't like this feeling. I am angry and sad and disappointed and prone to violent internal outbursts whereby I want to punch things and just so glad to be on my own this evening. I ask him for one thing. Please in your entire day of sitting at home doing nothing, just take the 500 yard walk to Mr A's, pick me up this list of stuff due to the fact that you are going out right when I would have been able to go and do it myself this evening, thus leaving me stranded with a sleeping girl... and bring it back ready for tomorrow so that I can cook the ham tonight. Endless pitiful moans, can't he do it with his mum tomorrow (erm, anyone for raw ham?) etc etc. Eventually, after I say I will do it immediately upon arriving home, he caves (because he has friend there unbeknownst to me and wants to leave as I walk in). And expects me to be OH SO GRATEFUL for him deigning to do one household task, required because he has invited his parents for dinner on a night he is going home with them anyway! I ask him to tell me when he is there so I can reiterate my repeated shopping list. I answer questions patiently about prawns and painstakingly describe a jar of sauce. What I don't realise is, he has his friend with him and they are peeing about. He grabs a bunch of stuff I didn't want, ignores half my list, then gets completely stroppy with me when I explain why a sweet potato baked, with a slice of ham, is not an acceptable meal. He complains that it cost him £20 he A: owes me (and more) and B: I have told him I will pay him for. He sighs that he will have to fetch things tomorrow. Don't worry. I will walk a mile on my lunchbreak, pick them up and walk 2 miles home with them in the evening. I get home and the house is a pigsty. Jelly is wandering around half dressed. His mate is casually sat at the desk playing on the ps4 (the first I am aware he is there and has been for hours) and I am told she has had KFC for dinner. Is there anything more salty in this entire world than kfc chicken and gravy?! There's kfc and ripped tinsel and half a dozen baubles from the tree everywhere and I want to cry. So I start cleaning up, help get Jelly to bed and when he asks if there is anything I 'need' him to do before they leave I say no and carry on cleaning. And then get shot a filthy look when I walk away from them as they leave, cheerfully telling them to have a good night, therefore no goodbye kiss. Oh I am so sorry I am meant to keep up appearances in front of your pathetic friend. Tough Doodah mate.

I feel like going to sleep in a huff. I am tired and had a bad enough day at work. But I have to explain dozens of receipts to YNAB and have no idea what I am down moneywise because he is withholding cash he owes me, sent me part of something else he owed me and has now left me floundering in red budgets.

I can't find music to settle me. I can't think of anything to watch or that I actually want to do other than to go to sleep and send this horrible day into the annals of the past. Roll on bedtime tomorrow.

Sorry for the rant guys. I just feel a bit pants and put upon. Why do I have to recognise every last thing he does? When was the last time I was thanked for doing the weekly shop and treated like a returning hero for washing the dinner pots?

Mums of boys, I plead with you... teach them self sufficiency, the meaning of the weird machine in the corner of the kitchen that makes clothes clean, and how to peel a blooming spud. An ironing lesson wouldn't go amiss. Your future daughter in laws will love you evermore.

    xx

Oh Lilt, what a rotter he is! You put up with so much!

And you have a lot on your plate - jelly raising, pesky work, your mum, your pops, your back... I'm sure I've missed out loads too.

So I'm sending you some appley huggles xxx

  • Hugs, hugs and more hugs.

There is nothing worse than someone not pulling their weight and living the life of Reily whilst you keep all the plates spinning - apart from ignoring Jelly which it sounds like he did do . I really hope you have a proper talk with him and make him see that if this is the 'Honeymoon period' he is failing miserably at achieving long term roomie status!

I hope you manage to chill out and enjoy your night off. And get some proper food woman!!!!! Xx

  • Thanks girls. I needed those.

Lucky - if he came in tonight and said he had had enough and he was done, I would agree, such is my attitude towards him at the minute. And then it would be all my fault for not trying hard enough to make it work. I don't want to do this again just before Christmas. I am not having 2 utterly awful ruined Christmases in a row due to him acting like a spoiled brat. So I am going to keep my mouth shut and pretend like nothing happened and deal with the aftermath in 2 weeks.

Sending a big supportive hug Lilty.

Sadly they take a lot longer to fully cook than girls - 24 years old is the start and some never get there. Been there, done that and still wearing the tshirt. .

ps. Good idea to pretend not happened. Sounds to me like he is pushing your be buttons on purpose, like a little kid. Best to be the grown up and ship him out when you're ready. He's used up any right to your good will, put your invisible shield down Zlilty. Xx

  • I love you guys

I just got the £20 receipt from Mr A's. £6 on Christmas cards for his parents/Jelly & I presume one for me. Am I supposed to pay for these from my negative groceries budget this month? Douche.

 Why I wonder do we bother if it takes them so blooming long to catch up? And why on earth did I go for someone 5 years YOUNGER than me? I was never a 'young' person.

    Take care Lilty.
