  • Wow lots of lovely messages. Sorry for no update last night. I ended up washing/drying/straightening my mop ready for the hairdresser today.

Penguin our local supermarkets do some fab margerine called 'Pure' and they have expanded it to include sunflower and olive spread as well as soya. All dairy free. The sunflower one is just so much like the stuff we used to bake when I was a kid. Easy to mix and nothing icky in there. We all enjoy it! Poor OH. We are allergic to the protein here so lacto-free no good for us either! These cookies are so moist and soft when warm! :D

Billie,SS et al thanks for all your lovely thoughts. My cough is receding. Just seems to bug me in the mornings and evenings most of all. If it hasn't gone by Friday I will go to the docs :)

Update on mum - she wne tin for the op at 2ish yesterday afternoon, and I rang my dad at around 7pm expecting it to be a long time but just calling to calm his nerves as he gets a bit of a wreck. He explained that she had pre-programmed a text to everyone for as soon as she was awake saying 'I'm awake. all ok, Dad, call Nanny & let her know.' - as we were on the phone I got a text and it was the very message!!! So a 5 hour op. Much better than we expected. She came out of the anaesthetic 10x faster this time as she told the anaesthetist off for whatever he gave her last time and he checked the notes and changed the formula so that she wasn't as badly affected. Yet to find out how to op went as of yet, but she was in the hospital overnight and I haven't heard anything other than a quick call to say she was in a lot of pain and doped up on morphine last night and the same this morning. Sis and SiL were included on the text so I didn't contact them but just put a general update on FB and followed it up with a reply to a message from SiL as she had asked me to let her know. I said 'Have you got the text love?' and her response was 'Yes, fab news thank you!' so didn't think anything of it.... until sis posted a status about finding out important family updates on fb  - turns out mum had accidentally programmed SiL's home number and sisters old mobile number from 15 years back  so they didn't get it. Smoothed it all over, and even got a text from a mutual friend of mine/sisters (more sisters real friend but I spend more time talking to her x1000) telling me I handled myself & sis beautifully & well done me for calming all down :) phew! SiL was fine, thought the 'text' I referred to was the fb status update :rotfl: :) lovely woman.

Pop - no change. Still at the big hospital being treated for possible unknown infection and shock.

Moi - haircut lovely. Have had it much shorter and have some long choppy layers in it. She thinned it out a bit at the back and it feels like a weight has lifted! :D Metaphorically too maybe lol.

Cookies - I ban anyone unhappy with their weight from baking them :rotfl: - they are way better eaten warm so every batch of 12 is split between me & Jelly & she is only allowed 1 and a half small biscuits. Mummy is a piglet.

Him has ordered us a joint xmas present. His mum has chipped in with some spends towards the bits to go with it, and everything has been on dramatic offers thus far. So on Xmas day I will be opening more presents than I have in years! We have a WiiU!! And Rayman (for me) with a few other games to play together and a couple that Him prefers. (Donkey Kong & Smash Bro's) - Total spent, £213. This includes 2x Nintendo Gamecube style controllers to go with it, 5 games (1 we want to sell) and the main WiiU with a wii remote. His mum has bought £40 of stuff, then my Sonic Xmas Jumper arrived and it isn't knitted, its horrible old school football kit material and smells like burnt plastic. It also has various do not wash, or iron, or this that and the other warnings on it. So I put it on ebay. Bearing in mind it cost £23.97... the bids are over £30 already with 2 days left. 2 others are currently at just shy of £60 each - they end today. So apart from what it costs to buy a super cool geeky new Xmas jumper, the profit after sale is going towards the WiiU. We are wrapping it for ourselves to open... Getting very excited for xmas now! Mum is coming down too!! :D:D:D

Aww Litly it's great to hear you so chirpy. We've been [strike]pooing[/strike] popping () in and out all over and crossing paths so I know you're ok, but nice to hear you feeling so bright.

Take care. Wishing you lots of wellness and huggles xx

  • SuperDavina I heart you. More for the spelling 'spistake' at the minute but have a whole bunch of reasons!! :D

Off to sleep in a minute. Had to buy Jelly a gift under £5 from Nursery Santa. Got her a wooden alphabet set with lower case letters to slot into the right shaped hole. She will LOVE it as she is wayyy into 'Netters' having conquered one to 'Twenteen' now. Set was reduced down to £4.47 which was less than half price!

Cough still a pain. Hair still swishy and deliciously soft. Got loads of stuff on ebay and 'watchers' already within a few hours :) if it sells, it is almost pure profit as one was an amazon muck up they told me to keep, the other a gift to MiL she didn't want (Ugg handbag!) and final one a pair of headphones bought for £40 on sale, but inexplicably 2 arrived with only one charge. Same day, same parcel? They never got in touch about it... and I ummed and aahed but decided not to enlighten the giant corporation of their mistake/my gain ;) that was over a year ago and they have been sat in the cupboard ever since :) will give MiL the money from the handbag :) ease her burden before xmas.

Been in to look at my pickle tonight. Her cheeks are flushed, her hair a wild riot of blonde curls, her eyelashes fan out, so long and dark I am jealous. She breathes so evenly, with the peaceful sleep of babes. And I want to pick her up and squeeze her to pieces. I settled for a gentle kiss and resting my hand on her chest for a minute. There is no whale music that can beat the relaxation of touching your sleeping contented and healthy child.

Lots of love all. A very zen Litly xxx

  • Ah, the sound of their innocent sleep. Even now I love to hear it, although you risk life and limb in a teenagers room as they are do messy, and they'd have a big shock anyway to wake up and find you looking at them. Am vicariously enjoying yours. Xx

...and this made me laugh...my reality now!

I also laughed along at the 'Twenteen'. Reminded me of Little Miss Gap saying her birthday was 'October the Twentymunf'.

The wooden alphabet set sounds really good. I want one for LMG! Sorry, how old is she now? Oh yeah, she is 14. She was 4 only yesterday...never mind...
